[Camera screenshot] at the walk-out a couple of days ago [Feb 6th, 2017]. Just want to remind people that civics does not stop at voting. Activism does not stop at walk outs. Make sure you're educating yourself, read history books, read political theory books, read economic books. Read the New York Times everyday. Education is a privilege that you have the freedom to have, take advantage of it. Download Countable the app. Keep track of your senators, your congress people, you representative what they're doing, what they're voting for. Call them when they're not doing the right thing. Go to town hall meetings, bring friends. Be loud, angry, and concise. Volunteer to help causes in your neighborhood, in your neighbors neighborhoods. Divest from things that you don't support. Support your local banks and businesses. Speak up about the justices you care about. Educate people. Share resources. You don't have to do all of these things at once of course, just little by little. Do what you can. Because you and I are not free until every single person is free. Until no child is a victim of war, until everyone has access to clean water, until PoC lives are safe, until Muslim lives are safe, until Jewish lives are safe, until lgbtqia+ lives are safe. We will and must fight! Our rights are under attack! What do we do? Stand up Fight back!"
