how’s this for a #totallynontypical
ever since i was a little girl, being in the garden with my mom was my favourite time & has in my mind shaped so much of who i am today. if the weather was good i was out of the house from dusk til dawn, building fairy forts out of flowers and sticks, while curiously watching my mother water and prune her buds and bulbs until they bloomed. watching my mother’s flower garden burst into colour has and always will be the most magical experience. picking tomatoes you grew off their vines is the most satisfying reward. the first time i saw a flower die was the moment i realized not all good things last, no matter how much love and tenderness you put into them. but i also realized the importance of living in the moment and cherishing things while they last. just because flowers die, doesn’t mean the love and commitment put into making them grow is futile.
therefore flowers for me, have become a metaphor for so many of the wonderful non-typical love stories in my life. flowers remind me of the amazing relationship i have with my mother - a rich mentorship and friendship i cannot live without. flowers symbolize magic moments - like sunshine on your face, the perfect vintage find, or tea on the couch on a rainy day. flowers remind me that anything built with love and compassion will be beautiful - a sentiment that guides everything i do in my romantic relationship @nickpaddles
and my friendships. flowers show me that what is delicate can also be strong. flowers have taught me patience is the most rewarding virtue, and that good things come to those who wait by the garden. so for me, my love of flowers in all their shapes, sizes and shades, represent the ultimate #totallynontypical
love story - the story of a life well lived. #Mejuri #MejuriPartner
