I’m prepping for the start of our Sugar Paste Workshop. The video shows you my favorite container for gum glue. Need a recipe? Here is my favorite:
*Gum Glue.... 1 Cup boiling water, 1 teaspoon Tylose Powder. Instructions:
Mix 1 cup of boiling water with 1 teaspoon of tylose powder. Stir. Tylose might still be clumpy. Let sit overnight in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can add more tylose if you'd like your glue to be thicker. Be sure to keep gum glue refrigerated when not in use. #sugarflowerclass #sugarflowers #gumpaste #gumglue #savannahcustomcakes
This cake is 1 of 2 that were ordered for a joint 60th and 1st bday party for grandma and grandson, elegant design in colours to match the decorations. Bottom tier was her favourite coffee and walnut cake with coffee buttercream, and top tier was one of my favourites rich white chocolate, pistachio and cardamom with white chocolate buttercream.
All flowers and decorations were edible and handmade by me #buttercupcakesbypriya #sugarflowers #coffeeandwalnut #pistachiocake #blueandgold #60thbithday #cakelife

How to make Simple Filler 🌸. **Materials
Gauge 26/28Florist wire
Dust color **Equipment
Flower foam pad
Serrated / star taper modeling tool
Fine nose plier
Surgical scissors **Procedure
~Cut 1 gauge 26/28 into 4pcs
~bend a slim closed hook in the end of the florist wire
~form a ball about 1/2inches of well kneaded flower paste into a tear drop shape ~Insert a star serrated cone model tool into the cone shape paste (about 1/2 way into he cone)
~ Use surgical scissor to cut and separate each petal marked by the star modeling tool.
~soften the petals using medium sized ball tool
~insert the florist wire moistened lightly with edible blue ( pinch of cmc to 1/8 cup of water, stir to dissolve)
~push it slightly down into the flower, pinch the flower paste around the wire to create and elongate the stem
~slightly reshape and soften the petals again as desired .
~form a tiny ball into the center.
~allow to dry upside down for minimum of 4hours depending on climatic condition( ~ dust flower as desired (in the case of cherry blossom ,usually cream/yellowish in nature )
~tape the dried flowers into set of 3 and 4 using half width florist tape(ie cut your tape into 2 for slimmer taping) and then tape these small groups into a 24 gauge to create a panicle (branched cluster stem). Not Shown in Video .
