Now that we have just recovered from last weekend ‘s epic @bonjour_perth
french festival , we wanted to thank the amazing team behind this amazing festival . From Victoria who has been running this event to to Matthias who made our weekend a breeze in the Mediterranean village and smiled the full two days , to the 150 volunteers who everywhere were so friendly , ready to assist and so joyous in celebrating the wonderful french spirit in the country that has become our home .
I arrived in Australia 25 years ago leaving everything behind for love and to find an amazing community here embracing their culture and eager to share its wonderful food , music, art, hobbies , travels, wares was so heart warming. To spend Remembrance Day there was the incredibly emotional for me as it was such a big day of reflection for us growing up in France . It is also an important day for my husband ‘s family as his great grandfather died fighting in France and this has linked our french -Australian families forever . It was also the first anniversary of my dad passing away in France and to spend the day surrounded with childhood memories of our favourite foods ,tunes , pétanque and a lot of French language was pretty special. The weekend was filled with laughter thanks to my neighbours smallholders @wild_and_sweet
