The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) prides themselves on presenting data on athletes competing for companies like Dana White’s UFC. WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, alongside any other athlete that competes for UFC, are all required to perform a certain amount of tests in order for clearance to compete.
As ESPN confirmed, back in mid-October, the USADA website had listed Lesnar as having submitted 6 tests this year. The company updates the athlete test page on their website on a weekly basis, though they have now realized a glitch had taken place, as Lesnar has only submitted 5 tests for USADA this year.
According to Adam Woullard- a spokesperson for the USADA, the technical issue happened on October 15 and has now been fixed. Furthermore, all information on the site is now confirmed to be accurate, though the USADA is looking into the technical issue that caused this problem in the first place.
The spokesperson had the following comments on the matter: “USADA updates the Athlete Test History page of the UFC/USADA website on a weekly basis. During an update on the week of October 15th, we experienced a technical issue that resulted in the information on the page being displayed incorrectly. The correct test history for the athlete is one test [that week], not two. The issue has been fixed and the testing numbers on the website are all accurate. We are still investigating the specific technical issue that led to the error.”
UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance, Jeff Novitsky has also chimed in on the issue, claiming White’s company has no concerns over the issue- as they are aware of the results Lesnar did have, as he had the tests. “I have access to a more specific database than the public, which displays the date a sample is collected, what type of sample it is and what the results are as soon as they are available. The public website, as I understand it, indicated there had been two tests during this last quarter, and it recently dropped to one. I have always seen one test in this quarter for Lesnar. It was a urine test and it came back negative.”
It’s been another amazing day for this page, 12th December 2018 was the day I reach 1K and it was an amazing day! 👊🏼 I’m exhausted, so I’m going to get some sleep, goodnight guys! 😴
Whether people like it or not, At the end of the day WWE is a business and the aim for a business is to make money. For WWE to make money they need to have people to watch and buy their merchandise. Now, what people think is that Vince favourites Brock and that’s why he’s constantly a champion and always in the main event but what they fail to realise is that he’s in the main event because unlike a lot of people on the current roster...he can actually build up a huge feud and main event match, He makes the money for Vince and he attracts many viewers because WWE have booked him like a beast, so when he’s up against someone like Reigns or The Undertaker and him and his opponent build up a huge match and you believe that he’s going to get demolished...you watch, which gives the WWE what they want. This is the reason Brock Lesnar is the champion and always main eventing, because of you (the fans).
I remember how much I genuinely hated Heyman because he was so good at his character that he made me have such a strong hatred for him, So when CM Punk caught him and beat the living hell out of him. I had such joy and satisfaction....that is what it means to be a wrestling fan.
