Summertime treats not treating you right? You might have sensitive teeth! Many things can cause teeth sensitivity including tooth decay, fractured teeth, worn fillings, gum disease, worn tooth enamel and exposed tooth root.
Dentin is the layer under your enamel. This layer has small tubes, and when these are exposed, it allows hot, cold, sweet and sour things to irritate your nerves.
Your dentist may recommend a sensitivity toothpaste for daily sensitivity help or flouride gel to help strengthen enamel. If you have fractured teeth or worn fillings, your dentist may recommend a crown, inlay or bonding to correct this flaw. If an exposed tooth root causes your sensitivity, a surgical gum graft can help!
Ask your dentist what is best for your sensitive teeth!

PROTEIN ICE CREAM 🍦 •
Okay, this isn’t exactly ice cream but it really is close enough 😁
I recently spoke to someone who told me they don’t feel that protein shakes are worth the calories because they aren’t filling...Well firstly, you shouldn’t really be looking at shakes that way 😏 Protein shakes are there to supplement your diet and to help you reach your protein goal (if you are unable to eat a solid meal) 🥘
For me though, they help to cure my sweet tooth too 🍭 •
I must admit something: The last time I drank a protein shake from a shaker (like I see so many people do) was probably 10 years ago 🤣 Yet I have protein powder everyday...I don’t feel full having it from a shaker cup BUT throw in a bit of this and that, blend it up and you have yourself a super filling snack 🎉 •
How do you typically have your shakes? Let me know below ☺️ I’ll share what I do...
I like to personally use a blend of casein and whey...Why? Well the consistency of the shake that is created is amazing because casein is typically a lot thicker than whey 🥛
I have 1 scoop of casein to 2 scoops of whey...With @npl_international @npl_international
1 serving is 3 scoops...I then add a large handful of ice (about 3/4 of an ice tray), about 1/4 tsp guar or xanthan gum, some sweetener (normally stevia powder),some spices such as cinnamon or my new favourite: ginger, and lastly I add enough water to cover the ice blocks...I blend that up and voila 💫 You have yourself some protein soft serve...Sometimes I leave it in the freezer for about 15 minutes just to harden a bit but more often than not, I don’t have the willpower to wait 🤣
If you have any questions...leave them below 😘
New Orleans style Snoballs and why they are simply the best!! Many people wonder what the difference is between snoballs and snow cones. The answer is simple, there’s a HUGE difference! Snow Cones have larger granules of ice than the traditional Snoball. Snoballs are more comparable to snow, and is very fine, light, and fluffy whereas Snow Cones have larger pieces of ice. Flavors can’t stick to that coarse ice consistency so it sinks to the bottom of the cone. Snoballs are so powdery like real snow that it sucks up the syrup like a sponge making each bite a flavorful delight! Hawaiian shaved ice is simply that, ice shaved from a block form mimicking that of a Snoball but not quite as soft! It’s not as coarse as a snow cone yet not as fluffy as our snoballs.
Italian ice, also known as Water Ice is made with water, sugar and fruit juice, Italian ices are similar to sorbets but are made with more sugar for a denser texture. They usually are served slightly thawed and slushy. Also known as water ice🍧🍧🍧#snodreams #neworleanssnoballs #snowcones #italianice #hawaiianshavedice #frozendessert #summertimetreats #concessionstand #snowballstand
Currently munching on the last of my protein ice cream cookie sandwiches 🍦🍪 (try say that fast)
These really hit the spot on a humid (and downright uncomfortable) summer’s night ☀️
I shared the recipe in my latest email but if you didn’t get it let me know...I’m resending the email tomorrow (AND I have a new one 90 % ready to send out as well 😋)
These are sugar free, can be made with a vegan nice cream or a fat free and low carb nice cream, AND are high in protein 🎉
Sooooo let me know...Otherwise enjoy what’s left of your weekend special friends 💗
Whelp! Here's another one for ya'll to get to know me. No... I've never lived in Texas, but I've always danced to my own tune, so I say "ya'll" when I write and "yo" when I talk. I don't do "hey girl!!" cuz I'm totally a "hey chica" kinda person. (gotta be the ole espanol... lol) I also say "soda" vs. "pop". That came from a few of our dear friends out in Cali 😉 I heard them saying it and thought "how cool would it be to be the ONLY one saying it in school", so I consciously decided to say it and it just kinda stuck.
Now yes, I'm a health and wellness coach on the side, but shit... I do love me some DQ in the summertime and S'mores by the fire (just not the plain marshmallow...ew!) Even (maybe especially) lately I've been really struggling with my nutrition. Hence why this post is coming to you now as it's on my mind.
Lately I've been the kind of person that just doesn't "feel" hungry. I know, I know... food is fuel to burn more calories. I get it. So I eat... I can honestly say I'm not nearly as consistent in my water as I'd like to be too. Some days I drink gallons of water (not even joking here)... other days I'm lucky to get 24 oz in. Then there's the sweets. I just want ALL of the chocolate. Mind you, that could be my body's way of saying that I'm going to get a visit from ole aunt flow... but it'd be nice if that craving would just chill out.
I've been cheating on my snacks (crackers, pb, banana chips, etc...) not a lot, but definitely NOT where my goals are headed. Not sure about you, but I have the desire while I'm cooking dinner. Just the smell of it makes me wanna eat. Worst part is... All I have to do is say NO. I do it to the kids when they ask for desert after they didn't eat their dinner. I remind my team to just say no... I need to own up and do it myself now too! (Send prayers... or help! haha)
Lastly is desert after dinner. I always assumed this was a normal thing, but I found out yesterday (after eating a king sized Kit Kat in one sitting) that NO... this is NOT normal. Not every family did this, but mine did. We almost always had ice cream in the house so THAT is my favorite go to!
What different terms or traits do you have?

Cuteness Overload Alert! -----KIWI BERRIES----- are in and cute as ever. Still tart but a little sweeter than its older sibling. Eat them as is or toss them in a salad or smoothie. Or just stare at them because they're too cute to eat.
