Def not a glamour shot 🤣😂 But this stretch is killing me in a good way. I’ve really added some extra stretching time after every workout. I find myself feeling tight and this has been helping. Deep enough I feel it, but making sure I can still breathe properly and hold it. Try to let go of the tension and melt into the stretch. This works for any stretch and feels so good when done. When you fully love and invest in yourself, your love and joy will naturally radiate and pour over into others.
We oftentimes give and give and forget about caring for ourselves too. Though this may work for a little while, at some point you will have nothing left to give when your own cup isn’t full.
So take care of yourself. Eat all the healthy things, sweat and get that heart rate up every day, and don’t forget to make time for some self-care. Whatever that means for you. I love face masks, baths, and books. ♥️

What did everyone prep this week? What you prep for at the beginning of the week completely determines your success for the week. If healthy foods are ready and available to you, you are more likely to grab those things. I prepped some random snacks to have on hand this week so it would keep my unhealthy snacking at bay (halloween candy tempting anyone else?) See below for 4 easy snacks I have ready to go:
1- chopped cucumbers + hummus
2- sliced apples with lemon
3- fresh bananas + PB
4- homemade trail mix with mixed nuts (unsalted) + dried cranberries (@madeinnature
uses apple juice to sweeten instead of sugar). Be careful with already made trail mixes- they are oftentimes loaded with sugar and added ingredients.

tortilla soup is amazing! This was so good, like I can’t even describe it well enough. After it was puréed, I did add in a can of black bean (not in recipe). I topped it with more corn, some left over daiya “cheese” I had and some cilantro purée. Had a few corn tortilla chips on the side and dinner was so warming, comforting, and hearty. If you wouldn’t say it to a friend, don’t say it to yourself 💕 I have to remind myself that towards the end of my long runs. I was half mile from finishing my miles when doubts started creeping in. Not to stop but to slow down, that I couldn’t keep my pace. My legs were tired, I felt good, my mind was playing tricks. I needed up taking a deep breathe and zoning out at the wall pushing to make that last half mile. I can do it, I am doing it! I’m going further and faster than I thought I could. I haven’t completed a hill run on my treadmill in awhile. Well, tonight it went down! It may have been late, I def didn’t want to do it, I was completely tired from a day of outings, but it’s DONE and I feel so good for doing it. Halloween doughnuts....YES PLEASE. I love baking with my little guy and baking these are no exception. We practice counting and learning about different ingredients. I am my biggest criticizer. I fail. I doubt myself. I tell myself I don’t have what it takes. I tell myself I am slow. But then I have people telling me how impressed they are of my speed. How amazed they are of the miles I can run at one time. I get lost in the comparison game.
But in reality I have only been running for 1 and a half years. In that time I have run 3 fulls, 3 halfs, and 4 5ks. I have won 3 of my 5ks. Placed 2nd in a half. 3rd in a full. So maybe it is time to believe in myself. To chase the dreams that I can’t let go of. To dig deeper and to see if I have what it takes. It’s time to believe and see what I am capable of 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️

My thoughts for today. 🙏🏼 Disclaimer: I had a cookie yesterday which was not part of my meal plan and I almost skipped my workout this morning (but I didn’t)- It’s easy mid-way through the week to give up on yourself- have a few more snacks than you planned, sleep in an extra hour and skip your workout. But every day is also a new day to start fresh, be new, make the best choices so you can live your best life. So in the words of @msrachelhollis
DON’T give up on yourself. ♥️ Keep going. It’s amazing how powerful our thoughts are. Don’t give your mind enough time to even start making excuses or talk you out of that workout. Get it done girl!
-I’m a Christian but I often curse and act a fool 🤷🏻♀️ -I love all things outdoor and in the mountains -I’m a serious introvert and alone time is an absolute necessity in my life
-I enjoy motherhood more than anything else I’ve ever done in my life

-I love my dogs as if I birthed them -I work from home and often the nursery is not only my gym, but also my office
-I cannot handle it when people are rude to or don’t tip their servers/bartenders
-I lived in Utah for 5 years and miss the snow
-I attended three different universities -I have a minor in Spanish, studied in Spain for a summer and still basically have zero ability to carry on a convo 😂
-My two best friends have been the same for over 20 years
-I want to live in a world where more people think for themselves and question everything they’ve been told
-I like to know the truth even if it’s not ideal
-Fall/Winter is my ish ❄️ -My dream life resides in a cozy cabin in the woods where it snows 80% of the time and somehow I have my own garden, a couple horses and lots of dogs as well -Christmas is my favorite -Thanksgiving is a very close second
-I need an intervention for my love of being home and doing nothing -I craved beer, oranges, avocados and froyo during pregnancy -I feel other people’s feelings and hardships to my core
-I’m a deep thinker and small talk makes me uncomfortable -My awkwardness flys high when I’m nervous -If chemicals in food didn’t exist, I’d eat Hot Cheetos everyday
-I usually eat standing up in a flamingo stance -I love all kinds of workouts -I used to have terrible body image issues
-I believe in a better world -My current motto “I got this.” ✌🏽
