A pencil drawing I've done on vacation this summer
I like the result of working with coloring pencils but it always hurt my wrist because of all the time I put into it. I still wish to do it more often!
I feel bad for the sunflower seeds I planted a few months ago. They did not grow even if I religiously followed the instructions I found on Google on how to care for them.
It was the weather that killed my sunflowers. It rained almost every day and the soil was flooded.
I still have a few seeds hidden somewhere. I just need to find them and plant them in a pot.
Enjoying this sunny fall day... cool but still awesome! Here's a closeup of some recent sunflowers... still work in progress but coming along. My grandmother had her kitchen decorated with sunflowers! I actually noticed some yellow kitchen towels the other day & loved them! I juuuuuust may have to plan a sunflower kitchen someday!
Do you have any memories with sunflowers?
A departure, taking a painting I did from a photo I took last year and tweaking it, doing some of the glazing from my art nearly 50 years ago...
I’ve just put my first story on Instagram. It’s a little video showing how I created this sunflower. I often work in a series and sometimes use older works as a starting point for new ones. I’d recommend trying out digital mixed media as it gives you so much freedom to play with different colours and techniques using the same subject. It’s a really exciting and fun way to work. Hope you’re having a great weekend wherever you are 🌞
