There are darknesses in life and there are lights, and you are one of the lights, the light of all lights.
To the north. .
Oh man, how much I love shooting auroras. When I went back to Iceland for the second time hoping for an even better aurora streak (the first one was epic 🔥), I had a list of places where I wanted to photograph northern lights from. Jökulsarlon glacier was one of it. However this time, weather was pretty shit. Night after night, it was cloudy or rainy with no geomagnetic storm in sight. Finally there was a *cough cough* clear evening. Just stayed outside our hotel, and looked to the northern sky and we were able see a feeble aurora. This was it. Everyone jumped in the car and went to Jökulsarlon glacier lagoon. It certainly wasn’t the best aurora I’ve seen, but hey there was a green light. 😂
Just when we were leaving about 2AM (unsatisfied, at least me) we spotted this mountain and a small puddle. The green lady was still there, so we decided to stop and try some frames. Im so glad we did, the activity was much stronger than it was before. Quickly snapped few shots before I froze to death 💀. It definitely is a sight to behold 🔥
