About a week and a half ago, her diarrhea started to return while she was taking the Fortiflora, so I tried the Proviable Forte that the vet gave me.
We started her on half capsule per day, which I sprinkle in Fancy Feast broths and syringe into her. I didn’t want to start her on a whole capsule and have it be too much, too soon.
So far, so good on the half capsule per day. It’s been about eight days now.
Rascal also started with diarrhea last week. He had this problem back in 2016 and we treated him for every possible parasite even though he had two fecals come back negative for parasites.
That’s when I figured out he has a touch of IBD, just like his mama.
He was doing well on raw for wet food and his Young Again up until now.
Since Fluffy isn’t fully integrated yet and his territorial, they have not shared a littler box. And I’ve been Uber careful to make sure they don’t catch anything she may have.
I started him on half of a Proviable Forte capsule just a few days ago and (knock wood) he’s already doing better.
As far as I can tell, Proviable Forte is only available from the vet. But, Proviable DC is available online.
The only different between the two is the Forte has twice as many CFUs (colony forming units) as the DC.
And since (so far), half a capsule is working, I def recommend trying it if your kitty is having poop problems!
As always, please don’t start this or any other treatment regimen without doing your own research and consulting with your vet first!
If you’re on FB, I linked to the Proviable DC on amazon in that post!
