Lemon coconut cake! Sunny lemon pound cake mixed with coconut and frosted using coconut in the frosting #tastefullysimple
I know it seems obvious to some but you would be surprised how many Makeup Artist pages I scrolled thru and only see the finished product. Social media is extremely visual. When you work on a client, showing a before and after can do so much more than just showing the after picture. Showing a before and after picture tells a story and showcases your craft. Makeup is a physical transformation as well as an art and you want to make sure people can see what you can do.
Bonus tips:🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄1.Make sure you have good light and keep both photos at the same angle. This helps you present both photos with the best quality.
2.It will help if you also have a solid background. Having a solid background will look clean and professional. By avoiding background distractions, you are making sure that the main focus of the photo is centered around your work!
3.Side by side is best for comparison purposes. (Need help with the perfect App for that? DM me😘)
if we’re talking fall. let’s talk about this warm salad I just whipped up. roasted butternut squash , pumpkin seeds , feta — ah do I need to say more ? deets below:
what you’ll need.
1 cup skinned and chopped butternut squash
2 cups cooking kale
1 cup of broth
1 cup chopped purple cabbage
2 tbsp of feta cheese
2 tbsp of dried cranberries
1/4 cup of pumpkin seeds
salt , for taste
lemon pepper , for taste
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of nutmeg
4 tbsp of olive oil
tahini based dressing , you be the judge of how much :)
preheat oven to 425.
on a baking sheet roast cabbage and butternut squash (season this with nutmeg , cinnamon and paprika) and drizzle 2 tbsp of olive oil. you’ll bake for 20 - 25 min until crisp. on the stove top cook kale with 2 tbsp of olive oil and 1 cup of broth until the broth is dissolved. I added salt and lemon pepper to cabbage and kale. I plated beginning with kale then cabbage , then butternut squash and then topped all other ingredients. serve with tahini based dressing on side. I used goddess dressing from @traderjoes.
woke up this morning feeling groggy —so I made this ginger milk that has all types of good sh*t :).honey , ginger and turmeric are all natural anti- inflammatories , plus other health benefits. deets below :
what you’ll need.
1 cup almond milk
1/4 raw almond butter
1 1/2 tbsp of ground ginger or fresh ginger
1 tsp of turmeric
1 tbsp of honey
ice ice baby (🌽 , I know) .
blend all ingredients.
curry fried rice. originally intended on just making fried rice but I went into the spice cabinet and now I have curry fried rice 🤷🏽♀️. I just added 1 - 1 1/2 tbsp of curry powder to a fried rice recipe and made it healthier by using brown rice instead of white rice and olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I put sriracha in almost anything that I possibly can. yah know I should carry a lil’ mini one in my bag ...... 🤔
