Her words... 2 months after my 39th birthday I was diagnosed with triple negative and HER2+ IDC. 16 rounds of chemo a year of herceptin, a double mastectomy, tissue expanders and implants- all left me feeling like I was living in someone else's body. Choosing to have my scars tattooed allowed me to reclaim my body, to feel beautiful again. I hesitated before sharing, I'm sharing for all my fellow breast cancer Badasses. You can't erase cancer's mark, you can choose to turn it into something beautiful.
