Today we’re going to talk about Matcha Tea! Have you heard of it before? For those who don’t know, or need a reminder. Matcha tea is basically a cousin to green tea. It’s from the same family and has similar health benefits, but it’s grown differently. Matcha has more antioxidants than green tea. It is also sold in powder form, where as you buy green tea in bag form. Moreover, matcha can be drank hot or cold & even in latte form! Cool right?
Some of the health benefits linked to matcha are the following: ✶ aids in preventing diabetes type 2 ✶ cancer fighting ✶ weight loss ✶ boosts metabolism ✶ prevent heart disease ✶ detoxifies the body ✶ lowers cholesterol ✶ enhances mood & energy levels
I think it’s important to note that, people who are sensitive to caffeine should know that matcha does contain substantial amounts of caffeine. Therefore, use your discernment on whether or not you decide to try this tea. 🍵
I can attest to the benefits listed as I’ve been drinking matcha a lot more recently and have noticed myself getting that extra burst of energy. It even curbs my appetite! Which to me is amazing because I’m in the process of losing weight. I’m such an avid snacker so this helps as a substitute for all the snacks🤗
