LISS cardio session number 3 for the day, on an empty tank and post-gym, is made much better by these beautiful brutes!
For those that don't know what the hell I'm talking about, it was plucked from @tyrone_bell
Low Intensity Steady State; basically a brisk walk. Shoot for 45-60 minutes; it is more effective than it sounds.
When you do it first thing in the AM after coffee (black), after a workout or 3 hours or so since a meal. The empty stomach ensures your glycogen stores are low. If your nutrition is on point, body fat should be the next fuel up for use. The coffee in the AM just boosts the metabolism due to caffeine. It isn't mandatory but it helps. A cup of tea (I suggest green or black) would work as well. You could also just go walk if you don't like tea or coffee. The important thing is ZERO calories.
For those just starting it is a great way to get low impact but meaningful cardio. For those of us further down the path you'll see better recovery times and, personally, I saw improved times running and increased loads on lower body lifts. Plus, who doesn't want to spend more time with their dogs?! Have any other tips? Comment below. Have a friend that could use some info? Tag 'em! Training legs today, the 3rd time this week but here’s my monday’s legs workout that killed me💀 Hip thrust superseted with curtsy lunges was 🔥 I’ve been training legs 3 times a week for around 2 years. I’m thinking of doing legs/ glutes 4x a week now.
How many times a week do you train your legs/glutes?🤔
✖️Seated squat 3x10 reps
✖️hip thrust 3x 10 reps superseted with curtsy lunges 3x 8 reps each leg
✖️Split squat 3x 8 reps each leg
✖️Hip abduction 3x 25 reps
✖️Reverse hypers (finisher) 2x 15-20 reps
