Ye Sheng Ya Bao (Elder white) from @mei.leaf
🌱...my girlfriend favorite tea!🥰 The first thing that caught my curiosity was the appearance of the tea, I only knew tea buds like the one of silver needle and when I saw this tea and discovered that it was also made with buds I knew I had to learn more about this tea!
is made with axillary buds that will become stems/branches or flowers compared to #SilverNeedle
that is made with terminal buds that will become leaves.
This means that it's not possible to pick lots of them otherwise the tree will not grow properly.
This is a unique tea and it will trick you!🧙✨
The first infusion is so light that it looks like water, then you try it and it so sweet that you think there is sugar in it!
Don't worry, it's not water and it has not added sugar! 😁
This tea is amazing!
Smelling it I detected a pungent spicy note togheter with a distinct elder flower fragance. As soon as I made the first sip my mouth was coated with a fruity sweetness that persisted for a lot of time after the session was over.
I tried it using both #gongfu
style and western style and in my opinion the latter works better. I feel like the persistence of flavor is higher and since the buds are very thick doing long infusions will unlock it's full potential!
So...do not get fooled by this tea, try it and you'll be amazed! 😉
