“Believe in your epiphanies. Believe in yourself. Take action. And watch the world conspire to support you.” This is the quote for the first entry in Epiphany: The Journal because it’s from my epiphany in the Introduction of the book Epiphany. This summarizes my greatest #epiphany
after writing the book & about life in general. In the Journal we really work with the Four Stages of every Life-Changing Epiphany: #Listening #Belief #Action #Serendipity
& then I added another step #Gratitude
. The weakest one of those stages/steps for me is BELIEF. I’m going to write about my epiphany about Belief that resulted through my writing & creating the Journal. This journal can take you deep — I couldn’t believe all the epiphanies I had doing it! (See, belief for me 🤪) but what do you think you’re weakest area is? Do you Listen? Do you Believe in yourself? Your work? In others? In Life? What do you BELIEVE in & do you ACT on it? Are you good about TAKING ACTION in life? Do you notice & act on the SERENDIPITY in your life (bc we all have it)? Are you excited & GRATEFUL for it? And for all that you have & are in your life? These are the kinds of things we focus on & write about in The Journal... but ponder any one of those today & see if you can practice just one area this afternoon or the rest of this week. See what happens... 💙 #inspirationtuesday #inspirationalquotes #journalprompts #journaling #tellyourstory #write #empoweryourself #empoweringquotes #motivation
'Normal is an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.' - Charles Addams. Stop defining your business or your brand by someone else's standards and ideals. It's wonderful to learn from others, but in the end, you have to find your own version of normal 😉. #personalbrandphotographer #tellyourstory #beyourbrand

As an author, it's important to know the people who can help make or break your book. Editors and Beta readers are your friends, and like real friends, it's their job to make sure your work is as good as it can be before it's presented to the public. Understand that no one is a fan of criticism, especially when it comes to their work, but it's a necessary part of the writing process.
There are different types of editing.
1. Copy editing- Focuses on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other mechanics.
2. Developmental editing- Focuses on helping the author develop the story. How to thicken the plot or make the characters more believable. Those types of things.
What's a Beta Reader? An avid reader who'll volunteer to give you feedback on your work. These are your everyday people who simply love to read.
Make sure when it comes to deciding on an editor and beta readers, that you're choosing people who will give you their honest feedback. Not someone who will want to spare your feelings. Trust me, you'd rather hear it from them than thousands of readers.

"I felt lonely when my father and brother has to leave the country and i stayed in Jordan with my mom..." – Azoz, age 19
Here's the thing about dreams:⠀
If we're not careful, they can be determined by the people who surround us.⠀
In our mid-20's, maybe that's a committed relationship or travel. In our 30's, maybe marriage or a mortgage or kids. In our 40's, maybe climbing the ladder or a glimpse at long-term financial security. In our 50's... you get it.⠀
In our businesses, it's the same thing, so often determined by the people we follow and the posts we scroll through online.⠀
A 6-figure launch or enough followers for the "swipe up" feature, a "full" 1:1 coaching practice or a signature course. To speak at conferences or run a membership or have a Facebook group that's bursting at the seams. To be "location independent," bouncing from country to country, laptop in hand, or to only work x amount of hours a week with a multi-6-figure revenue.⠀
But what if we don't really want those things?⠀
What if we got really clear and found out that we didn't want the mortgage or even the marriage? What if we got really grounded and found out that a "full" coaching practice actually meant 3 clients a month and 2 retreats a year and a social media presence that made space and time to be really present (and private) with our loved ones? What if more than enough meant something other than 6-figures?⠀
The other day, I shared with you my "more of" list, the list I made to clarify what my happiest self - the one who's filled to the brim with joy and practically buzzing with glee - has, does and creates that I want more of.⠀
Here's what I found out:⠀
The "more of" that makes me happy? Well, friend, most of the "more of" already exists, in my heart, in my home, in my relationships - and the stuff that doesn't? Most of it's free or well within my reach.⠀
My "more of" list is one tool that I use to get courageous (and maybe even a little rebellious) as I redefine what success looks like - for ME.⠀
It shifts my year-end goals and my new year intentions, my dream income and the way I want to feel each day when I sit down at my desk.⠀
What does YOUR "more of" list reveal about what success looks like, feels like for you? 👇🏼
One of the first things I say to a bride-to-be when I meet them is, "Let me see your RING!" 😍💍 It's not just because I'm a typical girl who likes her bling...it's because your engagement ring is special. It tells your story! It's the same way with Hannah's engagement ring! Before Kirk asked Hannah to marry him, he asked her dad for his blessing. Once he got that "yes" he went out and bought the ring...the very. next. day.!! Needless to say he was only a LITTLE excited 😉 And that SAME WEEK he proposed and received another "yes" ❤ He chose a sapphire because blue is Hannah's favorite color. And navy blue is also the color I'll be wearing in May (along with a group of wonderful ladies!) as Hannah's bridesmaid. So many connections! Does YOUR ring have a story?? Tell us in the comments below! 💍❤
Hey Guys... watch my highlighted video on the purpose of my page @sarahmarlo_quotes
which I created three years ago, but just recently recovered it, as I felt I could put it to use! I have decided to share more of ME, as if I don’t share enough right? 😂 But seriously... I love to write write write. Some deep stuff, inspiring stuff, and some fun creative stuff too. I feel it’s time to share more of that creativity because I’ve been writing since I was a little girl, and like music, it’s a big part of me. When I am going through stuff or feeling emotions, I write, other times I write out of sheer inspiration and creativity, and because I enjoy it. My imagination runs wild and once I start writing and/or typing I can’t stop. I hope to help or inspire someone through sharing my stuff and in so, also finding some much needed healing in my own personal life. We all need more love and more healing, and I know my purpose in life is through communication and the arts... so I will continue to create and share! 🅟🅐🅡🅣 ➋: Let me back up a minute to before i started my fitness journey and who I was then — this will prove that people can change, as long as your willing to.
Let’s take it back to high school and my 2 semesters of college that I physically fought through with a hangover 😂 so where did barley hell come from? Let’s just say she was my drunk alter ego. Everyone goes through their party phase - i definitely went through mine and I was pretty damn consistent with it lol
After i graduated high school in 2012, i went to a community college starting fall of 2012 - i entered doing your gen Eds and wanted to get a degree in criminal justice - i wanted to be a detective (thanks to CSI and law and order lol)
As i went through classes, i was still going through my partying stage only unlike high school - i was able to miss class when i wanted without any major repercussions to come along with it. I had the Hope scholarship and what that didn’t pay for i was lucky enough to have my dad help me and pay for the rest. But ole barley hell wasnt taking a break, not even for school - i continued to go out and party, smoke, drink - just living without a care. I finished two semesters at community college with just passing grades, changed my major 3-4 times (because to be a detective, you had to be a cop & i didn’t want to do that), & lost my scholarship because i didn’t take enough hours one semester. I finally decided that school wasn’t for me at the time, i didn’t know who i was or what i wanted to do. My dad wasn’t happy with paying for me to go out and party on his dime with school, so after my second semester at motlow, i decided i wanted to take a “break” from school - that was 5 years ago and i haven’t went back, not saying i won’t ever, but I’m glad i decided then because my life has went down a totally different path and i haven’t looked back once.
Part 3 tomorrow 🙃

The truth will hurt those that still want to believe in lies.... Waking up out of the agenda is not comfortable. In fact, it will take the world as you know it and turn in upside down.
However, I would much rather live a life of truth then be blinded by the lies of the world.
We may be in this world but we don’t have to be of this world.
And sometimes that means you have to walk alone in that truth. 📸 @laurenmaevephotography
