It’s a unique feeling when you’re an early adopter of spankin’-new technology that then catches fire. It’s been over 3 years since I placed the order for our first Model X, when it was still a concept - ¡sight-unseen! - simply bc I wanted to fully support the mission of @teslamotors.
We’ve had Maggie for over two years now (that car now belongs to my wife). It’s been over a year since taking delivery of my beloved MX P100D, Sylvia (pictured, foreground). We have never seen this many Teslas at a Supercharger...often it’s been just us, occasionally one or two others, and the ‘outsider’ vibe frequently led to interesting casual conversation with a like-minded stranger. Today at this Supercharger in Kingston, NY there were two Model 3s, two Model S’s, and us; it was epic and totally normal at the same time. I remember about a year ago meeting a guy at a supercharger who had been a hyper-early adopter and was on his way to the Semi/Roadster reveal in Hawthorne, CA. His words, which have stuck with me ever since, were: WE DID IT. IT’S HAPPENING.
