I started this piece in June 2018 and finished it in April 2019.
I think, if I focus and really stay on task, I’ll be able to fold one even quicker than that next time.
I had to check back through my photos to see when I actually started folding this...
I just knew it had been part of my desk origami collection for quite a long time, and every now and then I would add some lacklustre folds.
Looks great finished though 🤷♂️
All my works get designed on the computer - usually I design a rough, low polygon version with a standard CAD package - self-written software then generates the details. This video clip shows the basic elements for 'Ovoid with #2017vPattern
': - reinforcement ring at the base - connectors for neighbouring elements -the red parts of the elements - the white parts of elements - ghosted shading and finally a photo of the finished paper sculpture.
