The human body can go for months without food, and days without water, However, we can only survive minutes without oxygen. Place the tip of your tongue against the ridge behind your upper teeth and exhale completely through your mouth. . Close your mouth and inhale deeply through your nose for a count of 4 - hold for 7 counts - exhale for a count of 8 repeat three times . It’s really that simple. I made a menu adjustment (potatoes to pasta) while I was smoking my pork ribs today when I saw @dianemorrisey post her grandma’s pasta fagiole and it was absolutely PERFECT with the ribs. That woman can cook!! Check her out. ————- For the pork finger ribs, I rubbed Tony Chachere’s creole seasoning on them and set the Traeger to 225. After 2 hours, I turned the ribs over and increased the temperature to 275. At some point I got the error message (LEr, and it shuts off completely) and they got done and were amazing, but why is my grill doing this? Fall is literally just around the corner and I've started to think about how much I don't want summer to end! Partly because I always struggle with meal prepping when the weather changes. It's like all of a sudden I have zero food ideas. Plus, 've been living off my garden lately and I don't know what we're going eat when it stops producing! 🤷 . . . Also, Fall means winter is just around the corner and this Southern California girl just can't seem to adjust to living with winter seeming to last forever. I just want to live my life in tshirts, jeans, and flip flops and winter severely gets in the way of that life goal. . . . What are your favorite fall meals? . the satisfaction i get from building my own pizza 💆🏻‍♀️who else? all you need is a crust and your favorite toppings! i love getting creative with my combos..what’s your go to? are you a cheese and pepperoni type of person (boring 😝j/k) or are you adventurous like me and like to incorporate all these kinda different flavors etc 😏 lemme know in the comments! . using a cauliflower crust pizza i added organic basil pesto as the base, artichoke hearts, crushed garlic, parmesan cheese, squeeze of lemon and @truestoryfoods organic nitrate/nitrate free salami (house fav!) . when the pizza was done baking i added arugula on top which i tossed together with EVOO, lemon juice, oregano, pinch of sea salt and cracked black pepper 👌🏻 SALAD on a pizza never tasted better. try it if you haven’t before! #nurturingbodyandmind

This is unrelated to this picture of this lovely Lychee Cocktail I had the other day but there is a question I am dying to get an answer to: Do you always stick to the rules without questioning them or are you someone who asks for special treatment? I am 1000000% the former but the older I get the more I observe that this is in fact a dumb strategy! I rarely see someone who - within reason - doesn't get what they want when they ask for it. Still I stress out to meet all expectations just to realise in the end those who just asked had it way easier! Is this observation something you can agree on? And how do you do that even? Asking feels so awkward to me!

Organic 3 bean chili 🌶 with #local chicken thighs, #seasonal fall 🍁 delicata squash and carrots 🥕 garnished with fresh cilantro 🌿and hot sauce @cholulahotsauce . Easily adapted to be #vegan by simply omitting the meat making it a fabulous #vegetarian chili!! Recipe below 😀👇👇👇👇👇 *************************** Recipe as follows: 2 tbs olive oil 1 small onion peeled and minced 3 cloves of fresh garlic peeled and minced 3 tbs fresh cilantro washed and diced 3 stalks celery washed and diced 5 medium carrots peeled and diced 2 delicata squash sweet peeled, cored and diced 4-5 organic cooked chicken thighs shredded Pinch of sea salt Freshly ground black pepper 1 24 oz jar or can of crushed tomatoes 3 tbs organic ketchup 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar 2 tbs chili powder 2 tbs cumin powder 1 can of pinto beans rinsed 1 can kidney beans rinsed 1 can black beans rinsed 2 cups filtered water Take a large stock pot and add olive oil then place heat on medium. Add minced onion, garlic and fresh cilantro and cook approx. 2-3 minutes till onion becomes translucent. Then add celery, carrots and squash and cook another 5 minutes. Now add shredded chicken thighs then add can or jar of crushed tomatoes along with ketchup and apple cider vinegar. Add chili powder and cumin along with the pinto beans, kidney beans and black beans, then add filtered water #cheftip 👩🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳 I pour my filtered water into my jar or can of tomato sauce to get it all out so there is no waste then I add to chili. Bring heat up to high so the chili can come to a quick boil then immediately reduce to low and leave the top of the pot slightly off so chili can reduce and thicken for approx. 30 minutes. Once done, I love garnishing with fresh cilantro, avocado, hot sauce, unsweetened coconut yogurt or you can use sour cream. Today I made this peanut butter granola and it was so good🍓🥜 also, THANK you so much for 1k 😱✨xoxo Peanut butter granola 2 cup oats 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup maple syrup a pinch of salt 1/4 cup peanut butter (I used @greenchoicesverige ) Instructions Mix together oats, cinnamon and salt. Melt the peanut butter and maple syrup (in the microwave or on the stovetop) Stir in the dry ingredients. Spread on a cookie sheet and bake in oven for about 20 min 325F. Almond Vanilla Chia Pudding: . 3-4 TBS @mammachia Chia Seeds (Use 4 TBS if you like it extra thick), 1 Cup @malkorganics Almond Milk, 1 Tsp Vanilla Powder, You can sweeten it with honey, coconut nectar, or maple syrup if you like. Combine ingredients & let sit at room temp for about 20 minutes. Stir again & store in the fridge overnight. . I just love finding treasures in my freezer. This morning I found several portions of my healthy breakfast casserole that I totally forgot I froze. 😂 So breakfast was a breeze (and delicious). And while I was digging around I also found a container of pre-made cauliflower rice. Woot! That means a batch of my cauliflower fried rice will be on the menu later today. I always love eating apples with peanut- anyone else with me?? Well, if you’re looking to switch things up- try this Date Caramel Dipping Sauce. This stuff takes just 3 ingredients to make and has the smoothest, silkiest texture just like a nut butter! It’s quite addicting and perfectly pairs with all the varieties of apples. . . Ingredients: 1 C pitted medjool dates, 1.5 TB unsweetened almond milk, and 1/4 tsp sea salt . . Directions: Soak dates in warm water for 5 minutes. Place onto a food processor along with the almond milk and salt. Process until texture is smooth and silky. This will take about 5 minutes. Just keep processing and pushing the mixture down into the blades. Serve with sliced apples and enjoy! Keep stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks! . . Happy Thursday!! 🤗

Who loves roasting veggies??🙋🙋♂ They pack a lot more flavor than blanching or steaming and you retain more nutrients👍 As an added bonus it's a pretty quick and hands off way to prepare veggies! How we do it: Preheat oven to 400F. Cut your veggies into bite size pieces and add to medium mixing bowl. Add about 2 tbsp oil and your favorite herbs/spices (my go to is fresh garlic and an Italian blend of herbs) and toss to combine. Place veggies on sheet tray and put in the oven. The cooking time is going to depend on what veggies you're using and your preferred texture. Generally speaking the tougher the vegetable the longer the cooking time. Green beans may only take 15 minutes while brussels sprouts may take 30+ minutes.
