This week I learned the importance of the company I keep and the energies I expose myself too. There's a lot of danger in trusting people who appear to have your best interest at heart but remain full while you're starving. Have you ever had a conversation with someone who projected so much doubt onto you, that you had to fast and pray about it afterwards?
Could you imagine how damaging that could be to someone who isn't mentally or spiritually equipped to handle tactical mind games, someone who is young, bright, energetic, excited but also naive and unknowing to the dark energies behind bright smiles. This is why I'm always cautious about the company I keep and the environments I reside in. Who are you blessing with your presence? What energy are you radiating? Do people feel happier around you? It's so important to preserve your light until you're spiritually and mentally secure and prepared to handle the responsibilities of shining so brightly, because there are folks who'll see your glow from a distance and either transform into a blanket in attempts to dim you or attach themselves to you, like an extension cord, to drain you. And these people often carry familiar faces.
Be wise, stay vigilant and watch the company you keep. If you have good people in your life, give thanks, cherish them and reciprocate their efforts at every given opportunity. .
