I visited this fall a few years back and as a group we decided not to go to the bottom. Today I climbed down the sketchy root ladder that descends from the viewing platform. Totally worth it to really experience the scale and power of this fall. Although Iceland’s columnar basalt waterfalls beat the North Umpqua River in number and scale, climbing down to view Toketee close up gave me a similar feeling of exhilaration.
Of course I needed to go back and do my favourite hidden roadside walk ✨🌲 this place is just too good ☺️ “... When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back...”
