A most gorgeous floral arrangement that my uncle designed for my cousin’s daughter’s wedding. (Am I really that old for this?) #HappilyEverLablab
A "vida" não para... Aqui em baixo ou lá em cima... Um passo... Uma braçada... Uma voada... Não importa como... Sempre em movimento... Um dia de cada vez!

What does a mirror look at?
We are all mere particles — molecules and chemical makeup — on loan from the greater universe.
We get distracted; we forget.
We get caught up in the potato-sack costume that we wear day to day…
Which is our ego.
And it’s necessary, of course, in order to function in society, as a human. It’s understandable that we would see our existence through this lens.
But we must remember:
Life, as we know it, is a privilege.
We also forget, in our short-sightedness, that life is short. And we are smaller than we perceive. The universe does not owe us so much as we are indebted the universe — and everyone and everything around it.
Just as we are on loan from the universe, every person in our life is on loan to us. We are not entitled to them, and they do not owe us anything.
We are merely particles who bump into each other in the infinite number of coincidences and combinations of circumstances.
And here we are, together.
And for as long as we bump along together, we might bear in mind:
We are incredibly fortunate to have this.
And it’s not that we should accept poor treatment from others — to do so would be to bastardize our gratitude; to martyr.
Rather, we must respect our own brief time enough to honor by accepting only love as the standard.
And by honoring each other with love and humility in return.
Beautiful. Calm. Peaceful. But still waters run deep.
Isn’t it amazing how one can appear so outwardly clam but be churning on the inside? So many thoughts, ideas, doubts and fears. Which ones should be validated and embraced and which ones released? I always find this time of year difficult, trying to balance the reflection of the past with an optimism for the future, and experiencing intense emotions from each.
This morning I went out for an early walk in the cool air. I met one of my neighbours in the road and through conversation on how fast time goes and how short life is, he made the comment that we all tend to speed through the year with mundane monotony, only to do it all over again next year. This got me thinking about how caught up we get on small things, rather than important things. We don’t know how much time we have left, how many more tomorrows there will be. Shouldn’t we be focused on living for now, on extraordinary experiences and extraordinary people, on exploring this world and filing our time with things that are really important?
I don’t want each year to be the same as the last, each today to be the same as yesterday. It’s time to make life extraordinary. (📍 New Zealand : 2017) 🇳🇿
Evening light hitting the Botanical Building, Balboa Park Gardens. Cool spot to walk around and see the beautiful architecture and lights during the holiday season.
The majestic walls of Black beach.
Rays through the hollow walls.
Antes... Durante... Depois!
Not sure when I’ll ever be able to stop taking pictures of this bridge. 😛
