And tonight, the first real entry in my uncultured beer guide!
We're starting off with the Alaskan Amber (5.3% ABV), courtesy of @alaskanbrewing.
I got to test this out @thirstyliongastropub
in Tempe for Arizona Restaurant Week.
Described as: hops have a floral quality with some light grass. Malt gives mostly carmel notes with some spice.
For me, the resounding feedback is smooth like jazz. I felt like I could drink this all night and not notice it had alcohol...which can be both good or bad. It hit my untested palate pretty consistently from front to back with consistent flavor through the whole sip. I know, you're thinking "what the hell does that mean?" It means there were no funky aftertastes. I'd drink this again and recommend to anyone looking for an easy intro to move beyond a larger or blonde *I think? I dont know, I'm still new at this...I just repeat what I'm told*
Rating: 🍺🍺🍺🍺 out of 5 cheers (but who tracks points anyway?)
