We’ve been cleaning for Thanksgiving weekend and finally got out of house for some fresh air.
Thyroid pain is not good. I've had under active thyroid issues since 2013 and recently my doctor informed me I will most likely be on thyroid medication long term.
#health #thyroidproblems #tired
Anyone else out there dealing with thyroid issues? I’ve been hypothyroid (Hashimoto’s) since I was a teenager and I’m having a hard time stabilizing my levels now postpartum. I’ve been swinging back and forth between hypo and hyperthyroid symptoms/blood levels which basically makes me a hot mess physically and mentally- but it does explain a lot of how I’ve been feeling these past 8 weeks. My endocrinologist adjusted my meds again, but in the meantime running has taken a bit of a backseat until I get more energy and some of my other symptoms start to improve. I’ll still get out when I can and if I have the motivation to, but for now and especially during these last 2 weeks of maternity leave I need to prioritize getting a little more rest and letting my body get back to “normal.” Today has been a good day and I had an awesome run, so I’m celebrating that for now!
My niece says the only color for your nails is pink. 💓💓 Do you agree?
How do I help my clients? Let me tell you a story... keep swiping left to hear whole story 😀

"This is so embarrassing but I felt I needed to share one part of my testimony. If anyone has thyroid issues you know that losing weight is almost impossible on its own. My luck, I had 4 babies in 5 1/2 years which resulted in WAY too much weight, and no way to get it off! Talk about sad. Fast forward 4 months and here we are. Down 25 lbs and energy energy energy! I know I have a long road of weight loss in front of me, but I celebrate the small victories!! (What better way to keep pushing on!) 👍🏻👍🏻 Keep your ear out for more parts of my testimony! But today, one can only take so much exposure. 😂😂 #sustainedenergy #weightloss #ambassador
-Bethany M. *Participants in an independent, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, human clinical study who used Slim twice a day and Bio Cleanse and ProBio 5 lost an average of 7.21 pounds in 8 weeks, while the placebo group only lost an average of 0.19 pounds. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. I recently got a question about how I figured it out. Well my doctors first noticed my thyroid (TSH) level was High. Typically doctors will tell you to wait six months and get tested again. I did that and my tsh was normal again. But why was it abnormal in the first place? Well doctors typically won't figure that out. Luckily my mom knew a doctor who knew the proper tests to use to figure it out. Last summer these were my results. I figured out my thyroid was inflamed and my body was attacking itself. Underneath my levels you can see what the normal levels should be. Mine were a sign of my hashimotos. If I had gone with my normal primary care physician I would never have been able to know why I felt the way I did. I am still learning and will continue to post so I can maybe show someone what to test for. I don't eat the way I do by choice it is by necessity. I want to eat normally and it is so upsetting that I can't. I still need to update these test results but out of fear I haven't done so...but it is on my list to do this year and again I will post whether it is good news or bad news and alter my life even more if need be. #hashimotosdisease #hashimotos #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #autoimmunedisease #glutenfree #healthylifestyle #bodypositive #naturalfoods #organic #thyroidhealing #thyroidproblems
I had just accepted that with pcos, hypothyroid hashimotos, and type 1 diabetes... I would never be the size I wanted to be.
I had doctor after doctor tell me that I just had to accept my body the way it is because my health was more important. 😔
I hated pictures. (Look how sad my face is in the first 😭)
🤷🏻♀️ So. Imagine my surprise finding a way to eat when I was hungry, not have to meal prep, not have to really count anything, and feel great while losing 80lbs total and having MORE time & LESS stress. 🤷🏻♀️

🍓✨Berry Bowl✨🍓 Berries are such amazing healing foods. They contain anti-oxidants which stop the oxidation of heavy metals and toxins inside the body. These heavy metals and toxins cause many of the symptoms you are feeling today! Pain in the limbs and joints, inflammation, fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, heavy feeling, weight problems, etc!
🍧 This smoothie bowl is made with bananas, wild blueberries, mango, pineapple, Spirulina, and topped with fresh raspberries!
Had dinner out after shopping for Christmas baking and wrapping supplies! 🙈 now officially finished all of my Christmas shopping including baking stuff and gift tags, wrapping paper, ribbon etc so definitely reason for celebration 🤲🏻😍🙈💁🏻♀️ #christmas #dinnerdate #shopping #notlowcalorie #thyroidproblems
This is often overlooked when it comes to hormone balance and health in general.
I meet with women who are doing everything "right" in my clinical practice daily. They are eating well, exercising daily, and taking the best supplements, but they are stuck.
So often it is because although they are choosing "healthy" practices, they are also stressed.
No, stress is not just about car accidents, awful bosses, or the loss of a loved one. Although all of that seriously sucks. It can be so much more subtle than that.
Us ladies are acutely sensitive to environmental stressors. Our hormones respond by shifting into survival mode and out of reproduction mode. And maybe you think that is good because you don't want to have a baby.
If you're in your fertile years then you want to be ovulating. Without it, you can expect PMS to be a permanent resident in your life. 😬
Here are some of the subtle ways we tell our body that our environment is NOT safe:
>Skipping meals or going too long without eating.
>Copious amounts of caffeine or 🍸 alcohol.
>Overtraining or participating in stressful exercise when your life is bananas 🍌 stressful.
>Late nights, early morning or anything that disrupts sleep.
>Hanging out with jerks. Seriously, if your friend is a jerk and makes you feel bad then they are not your friend.
>Not drinking enough water 💦 ...a subtle adrenal sabotage.
>Obsessing about your food, your relationships, or anything that gets you racing thoughts and repeating terrible mantras.
If you're struggling with symptoms of hormone imbalance be sure to check in on what your habits are telling your body about your environment.

Can we talk about hair for a moment? Now I’m not a person who has worried about my hair my whole life until it started falling out. •
It started about 3 years ago when my thyroid disease took a weird turn and my symptoms increased. With thyroid disease the one symptom that affects a lot of us is hair loss.
This wasn’t a little hair loss either, I could see and feel it. •
A friend of mine was having the same issues and started this new shampoo and was having great results. I was at the end of my rope with my hair, it was breaking, brittle and falling out. I was willing to try egg on my hair. •
I got a sample of the product to see if I would have a reaction, because let’s be honest ,I’m sensitive to everything ( another issue with autoimmune disorders). Hallelujah!! I could use it!
That was back in May 2017, and fast forward to today. I’ve been using my upgraded shampoo for 18 months and for the first time in 15 years I have growth, no breakage and normal hair loss. •
I’m so grateful for this shampoo, I never worried about my hair or what I was putting on it until I was loosing it. If this sounds like you or you know someone who’s experiencing this, I would love to share with them this amazing product!!

Hydration is so important but the vessel you are drinking from is just as important as how much you drink. -
Plastic leeches chemicals and endocrine disruptors into the liquid contained in it. Even if it says BPA free you are still doing your immune system and thyroid a disservice by drinking from plastic. -
BPA free simply means this chemical has been replaced by its unstudied counterparts, most likely BPS. -
BPA is known to disrupt thyroid function and fertility. We are unwilling to hedge any bets on BPS being any safer. That’s why we stick to glass and stainless steel for water and food.
Thyroid story continued..
About two years ago I started feeling anxious all the time with rapid heartbeats which were both weird for me. I went to the doctor after having some blood tests done and found out I had hyperthyroidism. From then on every 6 weeks I continued on with blood tests to check my levels. Once I became pregnant it changed and I ended up with hypothyroidism.
My doctor prescribed me the medication I needed and everything seemed to be under control from there. After my little guy was born I still continued with my 6 week blood tests about 4 months postpartum I was feeling great and was almost at my pre pregnancy weight my doctor told me that my thyroid level was back to normal and took me off my medication. Well one month later I was feeling super depressed I had put on 10 pounds even with going to the gym 5 days a week and eating a healthy diet, I went back for my blood tests and went to see my doctor who was away on holidays so I seen a different doctor. This time it was not good, he had to call a specialist because he had never seen a thyroid level as high as mine at 220! I was immediately put back on my meds but at a much higher dose and he never understood why my doctor would have taken me off in he first place. Still 3 months later I’m having such a hard time getting the weight off and with my moods. I’m really hoping to find a natural way to control my levels but in the meantime my 6 week blood tests and medication will have to do. Your thyroid is no joke if your feeling off in any way, ask your doctor to get your levels checked!
I’ve received so many messages over the last few months asking about fertility support that it definitely deserves a post! Having been told I would never have children when I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and PCOS. I here to tell you to not give up hope. I have the most amazing 7yr old boy as proof the dreams do come true. After working with so many women battle the same things I went thru. I can’t help but share what has worked so well for us.
🍃Clary Sage is the queen of female tonic oils, it's traditionally been used to support healthy functions of the uterus and those uses remain today. It also balances hormones and serves as a female tonic. Best used prior to conception, rubbed on the ovaries and uterus morning and night. This is one that we typically say to avoid between a positive pregnancy test and 37 weeks.
🍃Ylang Ylang is another oil that is gently balancing to the whole reproductive and endocrine system. This oil may also support a healthy libido.
🍃Basil supports a healthy adrenal system and brings balance to Progesterone and Estrogen levels.
🍃Thyme is great at reducing blood sugar levels, and supports a healthy inflammatory response. Thyme also supports the body while decreasing too high estrogen levels. .
🍃Grapefruit made such a huge impact on my estrogen dominance related issues! 10-15 drops in the morning in a capsule provides gentle progesterone support. Begin this one as soon as possible. Because it is gentle and will take some time to aid the body.
🍂Fertility Roller Recipe and protocol:🍂 • 8 drops each of Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Basil and Thyme, Top with FCO in a 10ml Roller and apply over uterus and ovaries.
• Take 10-15 drops of Grapefruit a day for Progesterone production support.
• Consider a candida cleanse and taking the Phytoestrogen supplement.
I'm definitely an open book so please feel Free to message me. If you need help getting started with oils and want to learn how you can get $50 of FREE Product drop Oil Below!
If there were one thing I would want everyone who is starting out or struggling on a healing protocol to know...it would be that MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER.⠀
Anything too intensely cleansing for your body will cause floods of adrenaline, which is corrosive to the body.⠀
No matter where you’re starting from, whether that’s a standard American diet or having been vegan for 3 years...⠀
Adopting a healing protocol should always be an incremental PROCESS, not an overnight jump.⠀
▫️the more raw, the more cleansing⠀
▫️the more fruit, the more cleansing⠀
▫️the less overt fat, the more cleansing⠀
▫️the more tinctures, the more anti-pathogenic⠀
But this does not mean that you should be all raw, fruit-based, fat-free, & start taking 100 tinctures!!!⠀
MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER.⠀
I know where the motivation comes from.⠀
I know you just want to heal as soon as humanly possible!⠀
But if you want to heal, you actually need to take it easy loves.⠀
Make 1-2 small changes at a time.⠀
Give yourself a week or two to adjust, then build from there.⠀
That’s exactly what I do with my clients, & I believe a huge part of why I have had such great success in helping people recover.⠀
It allows your body time to detox SAFELY in increments so that your body does not flood with toxins, & it is so much more sustainable in building a LIFESTYLE that you can actually stick to long-term.⠀
You want to find a middle ground to where you’re still making great healing progress, but you’re not going too fast.⠀
You might need to experiment a bit to figure out what that means for you.⠀
We are all so different!⠀
You cannot compare yourself to others.⠀
Most of us you see on Instagram have been on these protocols for YEARS.⠀
We did not eat/live the way we do now when we first started out.⠀
It took time & many incremental adjustments to get here.⠀
Adopting a healing protocol does not have to be a struggle!⠀
This is my most important message to share with you. 💚⠀
If you are struggling, then I highly suggest you work one-on-one with me or another practitioner who can help you find your ideal pace & detox balance, to take out the guesswork.
Well, that was rough. I planned on 9 today but just could not do it and that's ok. Im super excited for an actual said recovery week next week! The second i stepped out the door today i was wishing i was back in my warm bed. Sometimes i dont like fighting the cold weather but it will make me stronger! Today was 5 degrees with wind gusts and it wore me out! Post run i did some extra strength training as i was excited to workout in the new set up, swipe to see todays workout!
Why are YOU waiting until January?
I was going to wait because I thought I'd have more money after the holidays, or because I didn't want to take time for me during this holiday season, or because I thought I would be in a better place physically in January. But, thank goodness for @courageously_fit
for talking some sense into me!
told me about the amazing #noexcusesnovember
deal from BeachBody. Signing up to be a coach so I can build my own business, getting a month of Daily Sunshine (their vegan/gluten free/etc blend for picky eaters 🙋♀️), AND one year of unlimited access to all the workout programs, all on sale!
So, if your excuse is that you don't want to spend the money right now, think about it like this: right now this amazing sale is going on and I can get a jump start on the holiday by TAKING CARE OF MYSELF so I can take care of others, and if I had waited it would have cost more and really, what am I losing? Starting 1.5 months ahead of New Year's I am not losing anything, only gaining a tool.
Check out @courageously_fit
if you are interested in changing your self for the better RIGHT NOW. We need two more motivated people to join our team this month, and two people I guarantee will not regret it!

I previously shared a post about PCOS so now it's time to share about Hashimotos which is a thyroid condition. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos 2 years ago in December. Since then my dad has also been diagnosed. I was diagnosed by symptoms and my doctor checking my antibody levels. To sum it up, my body is attacking my thyroid gland. Eventually this will cause my thyroid to not produce thyroid hormones anymore. The biggest symptom I have is the chronic fatigue. Before diagnosis it was way worse. I'm very thankful for my doctor that was open minded and ordered labs no other doctor had thought of before! .

Characterized by the thyroid not secreting enough of the thyroid hormone. Gets pushed mainly with stress. It’s a bit technical to get into details here; but here are some takeaways for you. I was being asked this question repeatedly in direct messages, so obviously, it’s an important topic for all of you.
1. Eating a clean diet, so food stress in minimized (cut sugar, dairy, white flour, processed and refined foods)
2. Limit saturated fat from meat
3. Include the good fats from ghee, coconut oil, cold pressed oils, avocados, nuts, seeds, omega 3 (from chia, flax and oily fish)
4. Use IODIZED salt, preferably rock or sea salt
5. Include spirulina which is completely safe to consume
6. Eat kale, broccoli and dark leafy greens – high in iodine
7. Balance stress by engaging in yoga, pranayama, dancing, exercise and meditation

A CRACKING WEEK.
On Thursday I was absolutely blessed to take part in a shoot for the inspirational @girlvscancer
in London. Couldn’t have been more chuffed to be involved with a very special new tit-tee range, due to launch in February.
My best gal @aforteforfashion
told me about her friend @girlstolelondon
a few years ago and what a badass babe she was in setting up @girlvscancer.
I never imagined that a few years later I myself would be diagnosed with cancer, and become part of this wonderfully supportive cancer community. Whilst cancer has been a royal pain in the neck (literally!), I’ve been able to meet some top guys + girls who I never would have met if I didn’t have cancer.
Thank you so much Lolli for being a superstar lady and organising such an inspirational shoot, I cannot WAIT to see the photos. I’m so proud to now have you in my life!
Also, a huge thanks to the brilliant and funny girls at @smashboxcosmeticsuk
and the talented @officialrushhairbeauty
for making me look camera ready 💜
WHAT A DAY.

Holy vulnerable share here.🙈
I’m gonna hit post and go hide. Lol. But seriously, I’d rather not share these photos! BUT I have this nagging feeling someone out there needs to see this.
Cuz here’s the deal..... I’m REALLY CLOSE to the same weight in these two photos. Crazy huh?
The photo on the left was my 1st day of P90X, 7 months after Phoebe was born. I had just ran my 1st half marathon and lost 20 lbs (all my pregnancy weight). Those 20 lbs came off pretty easily the 1st few months after Phoebe was born. Then I was STUCK & didn’t lose a single OUNCE in 4 months even though I was running 20+ miles a week and religiously counting calories!!
The second photo is me recently after completing Transform 20.
My story is I lost 35 lbs with P90X and Shakeology & kept that off for about 4 years! Then I was given a Hashimotos & hypothyroidism diagnosis and my weight crept back up. FINALLY I am healing and learning how to cure all that & my weight is going back down.
But I won’t lie, it’s DEFINITELY messed with my head to see the old numbers on the scale & feel like I was “starting back at square one.”
So it was SO GOOD for me to put these photos side by side the other day and realize I actually DIDN’T go back to square one.
My body has CHANGED, a lot! I can see I have built a lot of muscle and my measurements are VERY VERY different. #powerofexercise
And in that I take away some life lessons…..
1) Even if you find yourself YET AGAIN dealing with a trial you’ve had before…. chances are you’re NOT on a loop. I’m going to assume you have grown a LOT since the last time you faced this trial! This time you’re coming in with a lot more wisdom and clarity and will walk away from this trial with a DEEPER level of understanding and compassion. ❤
2) The scale is a good tool. Keep the scale, you really don’t need to throw it out. 😉 But please know it’s not the end-all-be-all for tracking progress!! Take measurements and pictures TOO.
And 3) Ladies- lift weights please. Weights are a good thing for body composition! 😉💪
I put on my workout clothes early in the morning but got my workout in at 8 pm at night. 🙈 I was slacking all morning and then we had a vet appointment and a play date. I never skip a workout because I know it’s all about building habits. I am really proud of myself for getting it done and I can take a rest day tomorrow!!
