This morning I went on a walk with the clear intention to be mindful of my surroundings. We had a bit of a stressful evening yesterday, finding out that ants love sand and had decided to take over our bathroom. Of course I noticed this during load shedding, as I was using the toilet in the dark and lots of little feet started crawling on me. I was horrified but put on a brave face until we had flushed all of them down the bathtub.
That being said, I needed to find some quiet time this morning. The little guy was resting his head against my chest, listening to my hear beat and slowly drifting to sleep. The older one in his buggy, a bit tired from the early morning (hello 5:30 a.m.). I walked across a bridge onto a small island. Breathing in the fresh air, looking carefully to take into account all the different flowers blooming. With every blossom spotted my heart grew fuller and fuller. This was my little time for myself, even though I was not alone at all. This was also @ltgoram
’s time to himself. It allowed all of us to reset and be ready for another adventure.
I will be posting all flowers and beautiful plants I spotted into my story. I encourage you to also notice the little things today. I would be delighted if you spot something in nature. A plant, a flower, a tree. A bird or a little insect. If you do, post it to your story and tag me.
