“Yesterday I held space for my child as he grieved and cried over the fact that the river water is not clean enough for drinking. "Water should all be clean mama, animals need to drink it and plants and people too"... Witnessing our children realize the state of the world and feel the heaviness of it.
Like the first time he saw a full logging truck and asked with serious concern if the trees were ok. Or when he learned that not all babies get to drink their mamas' milk or even be with their mamas. Or that some food has chemicals in it and some people hit and say mean things. The devastation on his face in these moments where his purity comes face to face with harsh reality. Oh, my heart. "I know sweetheart, I too wish it were safe to drink any water and eat any food and trust every person, but alas, that is not the situation we incarnated into. You are a brave soul for coming here. We have big work to do to help our mama Earth. And I'm right here with you to help you feel safe, supported and loved every step of the way. Now, let's go up the mountain and fill up some spring water, eat wild blackberries along the way, sing songs & give thanks for the purity & beauty & magical goodness that does surround us." "Ok mama, thank you, let's do that." 🌿😌🙏🏼💦 💜” - @alexandrasadventures #childrenofmountains
