After dropping off @neighborbus
in Madera, we cruised up to San Francisco for the night, dropped our car at SFO and headed for a direct flight to the concrete jungle where dreams are made of, the center of the financial universe, the big apple, the one and only, New York, New York.
Though Andrew spent the days working, we all have been able to soak up the energy rich history of the city over the past several days... and it ain’t ova’ yet.
Maisie got to meet the “other” fearless girl, in her new permanent spot staring down the NYSE, we became regulars on the NYC Subway, visited Grand Central Station, went to the Zoo and Ice Skating in Central Park, spent time in thoughtful remembrance at the 9/11 memorial at the World Trade Center, hung out in Times Square, found Maisie heaven at FAO Schwarz, visited the tree at Rockefeller Center, saw the Statue of Liberty and ate New York Pizza and New York Cheesecake ‘til our tummies couldn’t take it anymore.
There’s something very special about the vibrancy and dynamism of the city, the pulse of the people, and the quantity of things constantly happening here.
We’re grateful to indulge in a taste of the city prior to retreating back to our joyful recluse on wheels for the full holiday fury. ❤️🌃👨👩👧 🎶“These streets will make you feel brand new. These lights will inspire you. Now you’re in New York, New York, New Yoooooooork.” 🎶 Alicia Keys ❤️
