💯💯H A P P Y TUESDAY💯💯 . . If I’m being 💯 with you #tiubabes today was a TESTING Tuesday. ☝️ This first picture was of me today . ✌️ The second is of me yesterday . In both pictures I have little to no makeup on, natural beauty I thought. My hair is done the same . But my confidence is not the same in both . Yesterday I was motivated, felt powerful , and strong! 💪🏽 Today.. I felt beaten , uncomfortable and weak. 😞 The differences exist because YESTERDAY I focused on the positives : you can do whatever you put your mind to, you’re stronger than before, you’re naturally beautiful😍. TODAY I listened to the negatives from myself and OTHERS: you look TIRED , you need rest, I’m stronger than you, you aren’t as good as me. Started LG 30x30 today. Happy #tiutransformationtuesday ! So this is a very special post for me - few weeks back my sister in law called all excited that she saw me in a @toneitup email! What? Me? Nooooo. She sent it to me and the tears just started. #tiutransformation I remember when I first joined @toneitup and became a member of the #tiunutritionplan ...the emails started to come in and I would look at the before and afters of so many gorgeous, influential, motivational women and wonder if I could ever have such results?? I would wonder if I would feel confident and smile bright again...? There were #tiugirls who I would see time and again, some of who I have actually connected with now, that I would just find so, so inspiring and these emails would leave me wanting so much more and so determined. NEVER did I think I would be amongst some of my actual motivators, some of these amazing women....I never imagined I would be someone that others would look to and perhaps see something in me that I saw in these other ladies. When I saw this email it was about so much more than my physical transformation... yes, I was so thrilled with how far I came but I saw so much more and felt so much more. This #tiuteam and #tiucommunity that @katrinaascott and @karenadawn have built gave me the foundation and continues to give me the blueprint to better myself in all shapes and forms. @toneitup has showed me that I love bettering myself, that I CAN achieve greatness, that I don’t have to be thin but STRONG, that there are actually women in this world rooting for you, and that maybe just maybe I can inspire someone else the way I have been inspired by so many of you beautiful ladies! And that’s the beauty of @toneitup , somehow we find things in ourselves we never thought possible. I am honored to be in an email, I am honored to be part of this #tiucommunity and I am excited to continue this journey alongside all of you. It is a very humbling experience to see something like this and in the spirit of #tiuloveyourbody I am determined to use this acknowledgement as motivation and affirmation on this journey! Check in from yesterday! It was well below freezing but my husband encouraged us to venture out and get our workout in! I can’t begin to tell you how important it is to have an accountability partner (@jessicamariematt ) AND your family encourage and support you! Those closest to us are our biggest influence. If my husband hadn’t said “hey come with me” to get a workout in I don’t think I would have!

Home from vacation. Exhausted from being up for over 24 hours commuting. Took Sunday, Monday & today off from workouts. Eating clean & green but did enjoy protein pasta with meat sauce tonight for dinner. Time to get back into the swing of things. It’s hard with my sleep schedule off & working everyday, but I did it before & I can do it again! Here I come #loveyourbody ! I haven’t felt this confident in myself.... ever. I truly am happy with my body currently & feel great in these pictures. Even though I’ve never been “chubby” “large”, I still didn’t feel my best & now I do. I weighed 110-118 throughout high school, I worked out, ran track & played sports. I did not lift heavy, like I do now. I currently weigh 128 & am completely happy. I weighed 135 when I was lifting heavy, heavy. I ignore the scale now, and go based off how I feel in my skin. I love having a big booty, I work hard to make it big! I love leg day & squats! I personally can’t wear bikinis that show too much, but I felt confident in what I did wear! It’s amazing the view points you can have on yourself from good reads like”girl wash your face” or motivational speakers like Tony robins. Personal growth is huge & important for your own health. I eat an avocado most days (thank goodness for TJs Teeny Tiny Avocados!) and I’ve got a pretty good system in place for making sure I always have ripe ones ready, but today was the most perfectly ripe one and it just begged to be photographed. 📸🥑😉 : And in case you were dying to know (probably not, but I’ll tell you anyway), my system is to buy a bag or two of the avocados each week and let them sit on the counter for a few days until they’re just barely soft to the touch near the top. Then I put them in the fridge and they’ll last there for another week or so. By that time I’ve already bought the next week’s bag, so there’s always a steady rotation of fresh, perfectly ripe avocados! I love them on breakfast scrambles and toast, of course. : Anyway, happy Tuesday of week 2 of #tiuloveyourbody ! It's not pizza! 😮 I had an appointment this evening and didn't think through dinner, so I spent two hours hungry af and dreaming of the pizza place next door. But I came home and made this chicken curry stir fry instead. (Quicker than pizza, too!) . . . . The interesting thing here is that this is a natural choice for me. I knew I wasn't getting pizza, and stir fry is my jam. I wanted to test this recipe and it was pretty solid. I was kind of scared going into this whole #tiunutritionplan thing but my natural habits align so well with it. When I'm making my own food, it's all good (about 80% of the time.. pancakes and pizza are the exceptions 🤣) External influences play a big part, and I'm just learning to play the game. #tiuteam #tiuloveyourbody #healthyeating #stirfry #stirfryfordays

I’m NUTS for this smoothie 😂🥜 But for real- the almond butter cookie smoothie is a great, filling M4 that satisfies my cravings for something sweet on the afternoon. Yesterday I made it with caulirice but today I think I’m going to do the banana 🥰 . Week 2 Day 2 almost in the books. This is how I feel about today. Rough day at work and a terrible nights sleep. Major anxiety (clearly) so thinking about taking care of myself and getting a therapist because you know what, sometimes you need someone to just talk to that isn’t your husband (though I love him very much). Because I got poor sleep, I slept in (when I finally did fall back asleep) and wasn’t able to do my #studiotoneitup workouts but I did manage to go to hot yoga and make cauliflower steaks for dinner with the chimchurri sauce which was amazing! Today was a weird and busy day🤪 I somehow only ate 3 meals and one was more of a snack. And my Studio app wasn’t working for some reason😢 I was able to do the DMs, but the class I registered for wouldn’t load, nor would anything on demand. But I did manage a little meal prep with my little helper🥰! Broccoli, spinach and green onion egg muffins, Meta D, chocolate raspberry muffins ( I may have overfilled the tins🙈, but they taste yummy!) and I finally made the spicy sesame zoodles and added chicken and broccoli-🤤so good!! Hung out on this thing for a bit doing some squats, single leg deadlifts, and bicep curls. Crazy hair after a long day but I got my workout in! Did those moves + the DMs + a 20 minute easy walk. Now I’m eating the spicy sesame sauce with zucchini noodles and I highly recommend adding broccoli-it’s so good with the sauce! If I had chicken, that would be a good addition too! Take the High Road. ▪Things go wrong... all the time. Emotions run high, people get frustrated. ▪Stress & Negativity are my two biggest downfalls. But the way in which I ground myself is by taking a deep breath and letting them go. ▪I took this photo at @29rooms Chicago this summer and little did I know... the moments that ensued would give me so much relief. This particular room was dedicated to shredding the thoughts or feelings or emotions that bring us down. And to be honest? They still bring me down somedays. ▪I refuse to take for granted the experiences I have been blessed with - from the Tone It Up retreat in California in 2015, to the final Snowmass Wanderlust experience rewarded to me by my family/team at lululemon in 2016, to starting my Masters program in Nutrition & Wellness in IL in 2017, to traveling all over the country with friends and family in 2018 while still managing to have a grasp on my gradschool work and fitness. ▪I may not have undergone hardships that others have had... but I know what it feels like to have no one understand why you're angry or tired or sad... because sometimes WE JUST ARE. And that is humanity, for you! ▪I can't begin to tell anyone my story yet... because its still being written... but what I CAN say is that today is just a beautiful moment on this marble we call Earth. so excited to start the semester! my main goal is to get my drivers license. (Growing up in Brooklyn, the subway was all I needed to get around. But now it’s time!!!) everything else I wanna do will fall into place with my actions! healthy life, good sleep, and confidence are huge things I want.
