I am the WORST when it comes to serious cases of #sundayscaries
I’ve been trialing & erroring it for a while on how to minimize that particular stomach pit so I just wanted to share some things that have helped me get my game face on for the week:
📝 spend 15 minutes (even better if you can do this on Friday before you leave!!) making a list of what your main priorities will be on Monday morning so that it’s easier on you to get back into the swing of things
🧘🏼♀️ sprinkle in as many feel good grounding activities as you can on Sunday (so bring on the meditation, journaling, your preferred form of movement— even just 15 minutes can go a long way!)
🎶 make some plans to look forward to DURING the week! I know the workweek is hecka busy but it turns out that when I view each day as an opportunity to have fun or do something special then I don’t find myself clutching so hard to the carefree mems of the weekend.
🌈 last but not least: sit with your feelings and show them compassion! For many, the literal party of the weekend being over is a bummer and comes with both a cute serotonin crash and a sense of dread. It might help to know that this anticipatory anxiety is a part of your body’s natural flight or flight response & completely normal. Sometimes just acknowledging the feelings are enough to help them go away 😊
Anyhoooo obviously I’m not a professional anything so I’d love to know: what tips or tricks do you use to get set for the week ahead?? 🤓

There are so many negative tales we tell ourselves when we have gained weight. I’m here to tell you that kind of chatter will never get you anywhere. ✨ Treat yourself with the same love and respect as you would a small child. Give yourself the foods that nourish you. Sleep. Take a bath. It was hard not to beat myself up when I saw I had passed the 200 pound mark... but knowing that I can actively work to get the weight off. 2 lbs off and counting!
Fish Toast: Smokey, creamy fish dip on top of warm bread, with cukes & pickled onion for the perfect crunch. Come eat this!
