Day 1! So after taking a little break, I thought I’d get the ball rolling again with a little series on what to do during the #eidholidays
since we’ve decided not to travel *gasp!*. I still have a lot to discover about the city so why not take the opportunity to find out how #kidfriendly
it can really be! So first thing on our agenda was @kidzania
. Was my first time there and it was awesome! Our 3–year old got to try so many “jobs” and activities out, including making his own #pizza
(which he ate all!). Baby got to play in the Babyjoy lounge, and mommy and daddy had a good laugh at the whole thing :) Defo #recommended
- and something I would want to do often!
When they're still young enough to believe peas are sweets 🍬🍬 😂😂 #winning
My hubbie grew loads of veggies this year but the peas are the big winners. .
Keeps the 1️⃣ year old occupied for ages eating them raw 1 by 1 (I half them to reduce risk of choking). .
The 2️⃣ year old (he also thinks they are sweets) loves picking them himself, breaking the pods open and eating the peas directly out of them. .
So a great one to grow if you have smallies and is really easy to get a good crop (apparently!).
Look at that big bowl of goodness. Mushroom and veggie stew with gnocchi and green beans. Mmm mmm.
In the last week I have lost 5lbs. Heck yes.!!!! This has been done through mainly diet alone. I self indulged a lot when my sister was here. Lots of wine, desserts and snacks. The best thing was I did not feel guilty at all as I knew I had the tools and mindset to get me back on track. By having my water first and veggies most I am back down to where I belong. I never really had to loose a lot of weight in my journey. It was all about feeling comfortable. I sure felt bloated 2 weeks ago when I wasn’t putting the best food choices in my body. Not any more 👍
Gluten & Dairy Free — Pine Nut “Panko” Crusted Mahi Mahi. Sooo this was pretty much my first time really trying to “Panko” crust, and it worked phenomenally! Instead of original Panko, I threw together @lovegrown
Power O’s (unsweetened, of course), salt, pepper and some of my other favorite spices in a food processor and pulsed them up a bit. This mixed with the food processed lightly roasted Pine Nuts (Which the original idea recipe I’d seen called for Macadamia Nuts, although I substituted for what I happened to have in my cupboard. Could he substituted I believe with just about any but you enjoy) made for an AWESOME crunch atop @drydockfish
Mahi Mahi. Would work great with any mild, fresh white fish though :) — Whisked Organic Coconut Milk & one Pasture Raised Local Farmers Market egg to help the breading stick. Not only adult friendly, but #toddler

We are on our way to gullivers world. Here’s the packed lunch I’ve packed for the boys today, we have - crackers, strawberry pinwheels, brioche, pizza pinwheels, pizza wrap, sausage rolls, cheese sticks, chicken and mayo roll ups. Then, for the snack boxes we have, Cheerios, olives, tangerine, cucumber, cornflakes and raisins. Hope everyone has a great Friday! 🎪-

What are your plans for the weekend?
I’m sharing a 1/2 marathon with a friend. That means we each do 10.6km each. I’m really looking forward to it and since my friend lives 197km away she is coming to my place with her husband and son for the weekend. 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏼♀️
Since we will have 3 boys under the age of 5 running around the house, I’ve been racking my brain for a fun, quick snack that entertains the kids and allows for maximum #mumtime

and thought I’d give her idea a practice run. #FruitPizzaForTheWin
This was so simple to make. The white stuff is yoghurt and then the topping is blueberries and mandarin. Amazingly my kiddies worked out not to tip their pizza so the topping didn’t slide off! #NoExtraCleaningForMe
I’ll be whipping this awesome snack up again this weekend and pretending I’m a creative food connoisseur (who am I kidding I know she is going to see this post 😝).
Got my craft on last weekend and knocked together this book bin for Ali’s room. He seems to really like being able to see the covers rather than putting them all on a traditional shelf.
There’s this thing that’s happening in my household RN, we never want to cook. I mean, never. I don’t know if it’s the toddler, the smoky air, the heat, or just laziness, but you guys, at the end of the day I just want a glass of wine and a pizza. 🍷🍷🍷👏
Do you struggle with this too? I’m trying to jump on this whole meal prep bandwagon, but that takes work too hahahaha. Can’t we just have all have personal chefs?
Did you see these plum pistachio coconut balls I posted last week? They only take 10 minutes, and are only a few ingredients. I learned a lesson with these though: always always always make like a triple batch. Otherwise, your toddler will eat them ALL!

Our window boxes are looking fabulous !
These girls were such angels today at my doctors appointment! We woke up super early to drop Maggie off at the vet because she had surgery to get spayed this morning, and then I had an appointment right after. All things considered, the girls were so good- and they took this precious picture for me. How cute are they?! 😭
Idk how I ever set an alarm and woke up to get to a job on time. I am SO tired. 😅 I gained a whole new level of appreciation for my at-home job.
Craving something sweet so whipped this up. Literally. 🤣
It’s just fresh strawberries in the blender. And then the fat from Coconut milk and 100% pure maple syrup beat until it became whip cream.
Reminds me of strawberry short cake minus the cake.

Chilling at the villa for lunch
This little park is a hidden gem! Located just outside the Poirier Community Centre - it is fully fenced in with restrooms just inside the centre! We discovered it when we were enrolled in a Little Chefs program this past July! Complete with mini picnic tables, musical instruments and shade, it is the perfect place to spend a morning or afternoon!
We have been focusing on eating healthier meals and a lot less processed foods. Tonight's meal was Chicken Parm Zucchini Boats! To be honest, it tasted a lot like pizza 🍕 and it was so simple & quick to make. It makes the perfect weeknight dinner after a long day 😉.
⬇️ RECIPE BELOW ⬇️. .
•brown chicken in a skillet until cooked completely through (I used ground chicken.) Add minced garlic.
•stir in about a cup or so of pasta sauce (I used a blend of tomato, garlic, oregano).
•cut zucchini in half lengthwise and scoop out all of the seeds.
•spoon the chicken and sauce mixture into the boats and top with mozzarella cheese.
•cover the zucchini boats with foil and bake in the oven @ 400° for about 30 minutes.
