I've been doing photos once every other day (soooometimes every day to stay on top of the progress my body is making) even at my smallest weight a decade ago of 120 lbs I wouldn't have posted photos in my underwear 😂 THAT in itself is a small victory. my body is still ways away from where I want it to be, but shit, the body is a miraculous instrument and I have so much appreciation for what my body can do. I find up to about about 2 new victories, big & small, per week and it helps me stay on track. when people have said take videos and photos consistently when losing weight I would roll my eyes but now I see exactly what they mean! .

Even through a struggled set and an outtake mess, I was reminded this morning about how beautiful I feel after a good workout. It has nothing to do with the pants that make my butt look awesome or the physical results that I have or haven’t yet seen. It has everything to do with the way I FEEL. I able to push through those moments today. I have a body capable and HEALTHY that can achieve great things. I can breathe deeper now, and my heart beats even stronger throughout the rest of my day. To me, that’s everything.
I really can’t stop thinking about Fall recipes 🙈 I know it’s still August, but I’m starting Fall recipe testing next week! (don’t worry I won’t post til mid to late September) that means soups, chilis, pumpkin and apple baked goods while in 100 degree Austin. You can call it basic, but I call it dedication💃🏻
While it’s still summertime, try these homemade strawberry coconut pops! Just blend together 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk, and 1/4 cup date nectar (you can also use honey or maple syrup) - pour mixture into 5 ice pop molds then top with shredded coconut and a popsicle stick. Freeze for at least 4 hours and then enjoy🍓🥥

Today's Workout: Metabolic Circuit🏋️
1️⃣ Warm-up - 5 min on bike and 5 min dynamic stretching.
2️⃣ Superset #1
- 8 overhead push press into 8 (per leg) step back lunges. Use the same weight for both exercises. 5 total supersets, 1 min break between supersets.
3️⃣ Superset #2
- 25 yard sled push (heavy, max effort) into 10 pull-ups. 15 total supersets. 1 min rest between supersets.
4️⃣ Superset #3
- 30 seconds high knees (max effort) into 30 pushups. 5 total sets, 1 min rest between supersets.
5️⃣ Cool-down and stretch.
Happy Saturday! Get after it!
P.S. No sled to push? Sprint (max effort) for 50 yards instead.
We had a bit of a change this morning and had a pilates hiit for a change and didn’t they just love it 😂👏 A week off now and then back to work for us all in September with a focus on particular moves to see progress.
