Yesterday evening I flew over to the Saint-Lawrence river not far from Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada.
As you can see, spring comes later than in many other parts of the Northern Hemisphere. I was born, and I grew up in France where flowers and trees would start to blossom as early as early March.
In Quebec, nothing happens before May. Then, when it starts, it comes out very quickly. It is like nature is anxious to catch up with the rest of the world. In this picture, we can still see some ice and snow that has not completely melted away.
For this picture, I used the Sony A7RIII along with the Sony 12-24mm. The 12-24 may not be as sharp as the 16-35. However, I enjoy that extra 4mm as it opens up the perspective in creative ways that I find very useful. .

Long exposure helps photographers make more interesting and unusual photos.
I took the picture of #Lepreau

The other day I went on a road trip up to a hidden lookout with some friends. Despite going the wrong way for over an hour it was still worth it because of the epic sunset.
The footpath that extends along the Niagara Parkway in Niagara Falls, Canada, offers spectacular views of American Falls and Horseshoe Falls. During the day it's hard to find a spot where you aren't shoulder to shoulder with other visitors, but during the early morning it's like you have it to yourself. The sound of the cascading waters, coupled with the scintillating morning sky, was a therapeutic experience that left me thoroughly relaxed. Sunrise is particularly astonishing as the mist from the falls is illuminated in a brilliant pink hue.

Love this tiny photogenic island! 💙
I have been getting a few of the same questions lately, so I thought I’d answer them here 😊
- Are you the photographer or the model in your photos?
I’m both. I often hike alone and I wouldn’t ask anyone to do the crazy things that I do for my photos :) I also love taking photos of others. Self-portraits and taking photos of clients are very different ways for me to be creative and both are a lot of fun.
- Aren’t you cold?
Yes, I was cold in 95% of my photos, but it’s only for a few minutes and I often get so involved in the creative process that I forget about the cold. Freezing for a little while seems like a small price to pay for a photo that I can have for the rest of my life.
- Do you photoshop yourself into the landscapes?
No, the photos are not manipulated, but I love editing - playing with tones and colours mostly in Lightroom. It feels like I’m painting, which is something I loved doing for many years.
- Do you hike in those dresses?
Definitely not :) The dresses are huge, which is why I can only bring one of them with me at a time - I put it in my backpack and change on location while trying to avoid people :)
Any other questions?
