Tatws pum munud! Five minute (although it's never 5 mins) an old Welsh home staple, especially in North Wales. The basics have always been the same traditionally, but each household, Mother or father, whoever did the cooking would have their own way, recipe of doing it. I fried a large onion, a few rashers of bacon until cripy edged, then layered sliced potatoes all over in the same iron frying pan/skillet, then poured a stock over consisting of 2 oxo cubes 1chicken 1 beef. Also as it’s coming to the end of January I’ve tried to make it as inexpensive as I can by trying to make more vegetable dishes and larger portions that will hopefully last in to next week.
I did my full food shop in Morrisons this week and found their selection brilliant, I know some people find them quite expensive but as I make most meals from scratch I don’t find it as pricey, also again this is where a set shopping list comes in useful so you are only buying what you need and not getting distracted by bargains that week, which is so easily done 🙈
Today I’ll be making slow cooker Chinese pork... can’t wait 😊😊... outcome and recipie to follow later today.

🇮🇹: A classic, Tagliatelle (alla) Bolognese 🍝; fresh pasta cooked until firm, flavored with meat sauce and Parmigiano cheese 🧀 . The ubiquitous, pride, and signature dish 💥 of Bologna - the capital of Emilia-Romanga which is one of gastronomy epicenters of Italy and Europe. Bolognese sauce, a slow cooked rich meaty 🥩 tomato 🍅 ragu, is paired with fresh egg 🥚 pasta and never with dried pasta like spaghetti. As per the Academia Barilla, legend has it that the tagliatelle was created by a chef in 1487 for a nobility’s engagement party and represented the bride’s (Lucrezia) hair. In 1972, in order to preserve the authenticity of the pasta, the Accademia Italiana della Cucina (Italian Academy of Cuisine) registered a copy of the recipe with the Bologna Chamber of Commerce. As per chef Thomas McNoughton, “the most important ingredient in Bolognese is time ⏰ , which turns the ingredients into something greater than the sum of its parts.” According to UK cookbook author and food writer Felicity Cloake, "The fact is that there is no definitive recipe for a bolognese meat sauce, but to be worthy of the name, it should respect the traditions of the area", a view that is consistent with that often expressed by the Italian Academy of Cuisine. One of the well-known recipe of Maharashtra & north karnataka.. Talipetu
and the Ingredients I have used:- rice flour – half bowl
ragi – half bowl
wheat flour – 2 bowl,
j0war flour – 1bowl
besan (chickpeas) flour – half bowl
mix all together keep aside
vegetables:- 1.carrot – 2grated
2.cucumber – 1grated
5.garlic – 1full
6.green chilies – 6-7
7.palak – half bunch chopped
8.methe – half bunch chopped
9. curry leaves – 10
10. coriander – little
other ings:- zeera – 1tbsp
til- sesame ( white & black ) – both together 1tbsp
turmeric – 1tblsp
garam-masala – half tbsp
salt – to taste
water- for making the dough
oil – for cooking
For grinding:- In a jar add, zeera, garlic, curry leaves, coriander, ginger and grind to paste
Method:- 1.in a bowl add all above ingredients and grinded paste to
2. now add little, little water to make a dough
3. apply little oil for the dough ( no resting time do it immediately )
4. now take a pan to keep it to heat
5. in the meanwhile take the dough of roti size
6. roll it with roti roller with oil or tap with hands by applying oil ( on milk plastic cover)
7. if tava is heated add the prepared talipetu by adding some oil or ghee ( optional ) once cooked one side flip it by again adding oil.
8. once cooked both the side serve hot with, ghee, chutney or curd 🙂
