Previously the left hand house was used as a vet practice and the right was used as a residential for the owners. I turned it back into 2 semi’s with a loft conversion and rear extension and hopefully will be on the market next week 🤞🏽 This project has really dragged on and mainly due to the painter taking far too long which had a knock on effect on everyone else. Anyway we’re nearly there now and as with every project you leave with many new lessons learnt. Biggest being I’ll be using a company like @salaciaoflondon
to do the bathrooms, the amount of issues we had were ridiculous and late penalties in contracts for smaller trades are a must!!! I’ll put the obligatory photos of the show home on Friday 😊

So it was the first day back on site today and boy was it a crash bang whollop back to reality. You see before I went away my instructions to the painter was to paint the fireplace, so he did exactly that including painting over the teal tiles. FFS 😡😡😡 I mean come on we both were obviously not on the same page but it teaches me rule number uno of interiors ‘assume the other person knows iota’ and explain every basic thing even the flamin obvious! Now over to you lovely people for suggestions on taking paint off fireplace tiles 😫😫😫
Morning lovely insta fam! I would love to say my 2 year old was let loose on the pointing but sadly that’s not the case. Honestly im sooooo upset (like sleepless nights upset)with how messy and untidy it looks. When I mentioned it tothe contractor he was like “oh I think it looks alright, don’t you?’ Noooooo I don’t that’s why Im telling you how bad it looks. Then I find out there’s such a think as a tuck pointer who can sort the problem but also charges approx £400-£500 per sq metre. Pocket change right??? 🤬🤬🤬 ok rant over. Any remedies or ideas are more than welcome!!! Also can I just say thanks to @brooklands_23_

Having a bit of a Oops moment, really should have listened to the architect @fabricspacestudio
and clad the dormer in zinc rather than tile it. Too much red clay for my liking 😬. Hopefully the render will help distract the eye downwards (I’m praying anyway). On a positive note doesn’t the stock brick look lush?!
Week 11 & 12: Life’s just taken over recently and only just getting a chance to post progress pics! So here goes; roofs coming off, rear extension built, downstairs stud work all done, new ceiling joists in and the first floor extension brick work is on point! 😂 I know lame joke for those in the know and those not; if you don’t know you better get to know! 🎶
Week 5&6: ceilings are down, steels are going in and block work for the new extension is coming along nicely. Have also been doing some of the fun stuff and choosing finishes which I can’t wait to pull together on this scheme. ☺️ (shame my photography skills are getting worse - eek).
