Last trail run around @ekebergparken
looking for sculptures. It was a good mix of classic, modern art, and hill workouts. It was freezing today. ❄️ so glad we brought gloves.
Crazy times moving 35ft Spruce handrail material... seems like most of trailwork is about getting the job done with less than ideal tools

Running isn't always easy. Getting out for a run can also be difficult. Over the last 4 weeks it has been brutal and I have been feeling like I've been stuck in a dark tunnel -- so tough to get out. Today, it was nice to leave that behind and see "light" while out on the trails. I've missed running the past few weeks. Been walking but not running. Today was perfect. Sure, it was a little cold, a lot muddy and a lot slippery. But, it was JUST what the doctor ordered. #5peaks #trailrunning #trailcrew #runwild #runhappy #thankyouuniverse
Bittersweet day for me.....😭☺️ before I moved up to Chester for this job, people asked me where I'd be located. I told them Chester, CA. They all said I'd fall in love with it up here. I knew I'd enjoy it and really like the area, but not as much as I thought. Everyone was right. I love it so much up here it's just beautiful!! 🌲🏔But it's now time for me to go and I just don't want to lol. It's been a hell of a summer for me. Lots of ups and downs but worth it in the end. I am going to miss the memories I've made, the people I've met, the things I've learned and the beautiful area I called home for 5 months. I hope to come back again one day. Hopefully soon 🤞🏼 it's been real Chester. Thank you for the lessons and thank you for the amazing opportunity! #lakealmanor #chesterca #seasonalemployment #ontothenextadventure #getoutside #explore #learn #grow #dream #hiking #trailcrew
We ran around Sognsvann Lake, about 3.5 km. These trails were really busy too. It’s so nice seeing people enjoying nature. I feel like everyone here is fit.
Views from the Vettakollen summit. It’s a short, easy but steep hike, easily accessible by train. You can even see the Holmenkollen ski jump from there. From here we went on to Sognsvann Lake.
It’s a muddy and wet course for @5peaksrun
tomorrow. You’re going to have fun if you’re racing tomorrow.
We flagged the water crossing just to assure the racers that they are supposed to get their feet wet!
It was so nice to take a break from the touristy stuff and do what the locals do on weekends: go outside. We took the train for a 15 min ride and soon we were at this massive park with tons of marked trails. Saw lots of hikers, runners, cyclists and there was even a trail race in progress. Too bad we didn’t know about it, otherwise we would’ve signed up. Maybe we’ll go again tomorrow. 📸: @cuski78
Our first trail run in Oslo (also my first in a month). Even on vacation we’re thinking of @squamish50
so here’s my entry for my current favourite trail. Østmarketra-Mariholtet Loop, about 10k with 300 m elevation gain. On marathon fatigued legs, it was a challenge but the beauty of the trails was worth the effort. #8weekstosq50
lucky to do work that thousands of hikers will enjoy. until next time, vermont!
