A brilliant and thought provoking day with @adidasrunning
at the @parley.tv
Run for the Oceans, all to raise awareness about the plight our marine wildlife face on a daily basis from the growing amounts of plastics in our seas.
I’ve written a new blog post about ways we can all, as runners, reduce plastics in our lives. So have a read and see what you can do. (Link in bio!) If you’re interested in helping out at a beach clean up, then check out the Marine Conservation Society, they have organised events all over the UK (including London) throughout the year. A great way to do good and keep fit! The link is on the blog!
As some of you will know Adidas have created a range of trainers, mainly the UltraBoost, with Parley where the shoe’s yarn (the whole upper) from up-cycled plastic waste collected from beaches and coastal communities. A great initiative that hopefully other manufacturers will take on board, check them out and find out more about Parley on the Adidas website.
So what can we all do? Well if you have a few spare minutes have a read of the blog and the tips and see what small changes we can all make. Running, raising awareness and doing good, what could be better?!?
