Do you lift weights & always have pain with specific movements? Are certain movements in the sport that you play causing you pain? Do you have to avoid certain movements because you know they are painful?
Insert P.S.D.J.M. Position Specific Dynamic Joint Mobility. In the last month I added a ton of overhead movement from serving as well as other different angled movements particularly with my left shoulder cause I have been playing squash 2-3 days/week. You know that feeling when you go to play softball or throw a football a bunch of times & that shoulder pain comes back. That is the result I had & also my friend who is playing squash with me
For both of us it is important we do exercises in the specific sport positions we are playing in to literally de-threat the movement for our brain & to make sure all of the joints involved in the movement are doing their job. This is barely the tip of the iceberg of what I could have done in this position
My pain level was a 5-6 before one round of these exercises & bothered me in my sleep last night. It was a ZERO afterwards. Exercise doesn’t always mean you have to be beaten to a pulp sweating your ass off. Most of the time you just need to feel & move better than when you showed up

It's been a minute....
I have taken some time to give myself grace, to be okay with missing days. I have gotten out of the gym and into nature. My "workouts" mainly consist of hiking. I am okay with the muscle I have lost and the perspective I have gained. Life is all about balance and I am working on finding that balance. ⚖
Back in my late high school/early college days running was my form of working out. I hated it, I’ve never been a runner and most days my friend had to bribe me with those microwaveable “chocolate delights ”to even get me to the track with her.😂
I don’t say this to discount runners. Running takes a lot of endurance and mental strength that I clearly don’t have, but I do think it’s important that if you’re exercising you should 1. Be enjoying it and 2. your regimen should be in line with your goals.
I always used to run in hopes that it would give me abs or sculpt my body but that’s just not it’s purpose. It wasn’t until I found the combination of weights and plyo moves that I really began to notice my body have more shape.
It’s easy to get hung up on doing just weight training or just doing cardio- but have you ever tried a mix of both? Plyo moves have made me quicker and more athletic while weights have allowed me to become strong and shape my body. The combination always keeps my body guessing allowing me to push past plateaus and it’s FUN! Have you tried one of my workouts? If not, try one! You’ll see what I mean...❤️

In palestra ci sono delle regole implicite che probabilmente si possono apprendere solo frequentandola. Ma con l’arroganza si rimane sempre lì, come il criceto sulla ruota, senza imparare nulla.
SITUAZIONE PARADOSSALE di oggi:
NON si lascia un asciugamano su un attrezzo per tenerlo occupato e nel frattempo si va con tutta calma in bagno. Ancor di più non si torna e si inveisce contro chi, ingenuamente, ha visto l’attrezzo libero, ha spostato l’asciugamano e ha iniziato l’esercizio. Non siamo a casa nostra, la palestra non è nostra e soprattutto il mondo non gira attorno a noi. Se ti sposti, l’attrezzo è ritenuto libero. Non fa una piega eh.
