This is the end of the Lower Fall Trail of Johnston Canyon Creek. It was a short 1.8km hike. Better to do it early in the morning or after dinner when it's less crowded. What's fascinating is that the falls have been migrating upstream over time due to the erosion caused by the plummeting water and the changing seasons. There's a cave you can enter on the side to get a closeup look of the waterfall to hear the thundering roar of water and feel it spraying in your face. . "I gave my heart to the mountains the minute I stood beside this river with its spray in my face and watched it thunder into foam." Wallace Stegner . "Water is the most expressive element of in the nature. It responds to every mood from tranquility to turbulence." Happy Indigenous Peoples Day! This was yesterday's 7 AM at Yoho National Park. This British Columbia park is named after a Cree exclamation of aweβ€”the perfect name for a collection of big peaks, expansive glaciers, and crashing waterfalls. Natural Bridge is no exception. It's limestone has withstood the powerful current of the Kicking Horse River for centuries.
Happy International Yoga Day! I spent the morning hiking in Lake Louise to Litte Beehive. The lake looked amazing! And the day is still going! Having a great summer solstice! Hope you are all enjoying the day! Why are we looking for the negative aspects of every situation. Why are we seeing each situation presented in front of us with a pessimistic viewpoint ? It only hinders you. The next shitty thing that happens to you try and find the 1 positive part of it. Once you make this shift in #mindset the changes around you are incomparable.

A great stopover on highway 93 south toward radium just before the BC border and continental divide. A quick 1km hike down to the lake. You can only stop in spring summer and fall otherwise the parking area is buried in snow. Earned our amazing lunch at the Lake Louise Gondola restaurant Whitehorn. Then head back down and make it right one time to Moraine Lake for breathtaking views. Fresh mountain air, sweet trees and camp fire fills your soul. This truly is paradise. β€œOne’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller - - I’m so incredibly blessed to live so close to these beauties. It doesn’t matter how many times I return, the mountains and lakes in this area always leave me speechless. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
It's been a rainy few days in Edmonton. There's something so calming about taking a drive in the rain. This was taken just outside Edmonton, by the military base, I couldn't help but stop to take a picture of this rainbow. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ¦„πŸŒˆ
