Dating back to the 16th century, Užupis is one of Vilnius’ oldest districts and despite its current prestigious status, was formerly the city’s poorest area and home to a number of manual workers and a red light-district.⠀
During the Soviet era, the authorities let Užupis go to ruin, and it quickly gained notoriety as the roughest districts in the city. Since Lithuania regained its independence in 1991, artists came and took advantage of the cheap accommodation, and moreover, the city’s art academy is located across the bridge from Bernadinų Gardens. Now its thriving creative community hosts regular fashion festivals, concerts, exhibitions and poetry evenings. - Vilnius Tourism
The East Village is laced with great restaurants and bars, it’s hard to make a bad choice! This fall weather is treating us well too 😊

We’re loving the vintage vibes of the Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds, north
England🎥. A grade-II listed building, the cinema has been a staple of the city's landscape since November 1914 and remains the only gas-lit cinema in the United Kingdom.
Whether you’re all about art-house cinema, love supporting independent films or a sucker for a block buster, this unique venue is perfect for getting cosy and munching on some delicious buttery popcorn 🍿. Thanks to @katya_jackson
for this great pic 📷

Your life is your story. Write well, edit often❤️
Recently I had someone tell me that I’m “lucky” for being able to travel the world. I told him, I’m not lucky- I’m brave. I’m brave for taking a risk, traveling on my own and not knowing how my life is going to end up. Although I don’t have an unlimited amount of money, I know that somehow I will figure it out and be able to get by. I’m writing my own life story, and there are absolutely no guarantees that I will have a happy ending. All I know is that traveling is what fuels my soul and makes me happy. The unknown lies ahead of me and although that may scare some people, it really REALLY excites me🙌🏻
Do you fear the unknown or embrace it?

i love this city so much ❤️🇫🇷🥐 there’s not been a single cloud in the sky the whole time we’ve been here ☁️
What does your happy place look like? Mine is always by a pool with scruffy hair, no make-up, and a genuine, relaxed smile. Sometimes it gets hard to actually stop and enjoy a moment because everything moves so fast. But when I do, it's always worth it 🙏🍀
It's always easier to go down a hill than up one but the view is better from the top🍃💖
Our aim is to get a shot “through the keyhole” of sunrise at Durdle Door. This is where the sun lines up perfectly through the arch on the horizon and shines right through 🤩 just need to figure out when that happens... 🙄
Bustling Saturdays in Baltimore ☀️
Just living my best hot air ballon life 😁🎈 .
Had my first experience in a hot air balloon this morning and it was absolutely magical! So nice to do it in a place as special as India. We flew over the rural villages near Jaipur where the locals stood on their roofs and waved us big hellos. We ended up having to land in al locals farm and the entire village came out to greet us and offer masala chai tea! Such a special experience and the smoothest mode of transportation I’ve taken yet in India! 😂
Hello from Warsaw! We haven’t been very lucky with the weather so far. We visited Wilanow Palace this morning, one of Poland’s most important monuments. Wilanów Palace survived Poland’s partitions and both World Wars, and so serves as a reminder of the culture of the Polish state as it was before the misfortunes of the 18th century. It has beautiful gardens which are decorated with Winter Lights from October till February. In the summer, you can rent a boat or kayaks as an additional fun family activity.
Skyscrapers look amazing at night 🌃
I miss this place and the sweat all over my body caused by the challenging hike to get there 💦
Where is this and how to get here? Read it all in my last blogpost, link in bio!
I will be home in about 11 days and since a few days it has been for the first time since I left Belgium that I am actually feeling like going home, like really coming back "home". One of my roomies finished her summer season last week so she went back already, and my other roomie stays here for winter. They made/make our apartment feel like home in a way as well, we cook together, we have dinners and drinks together, talk about life, our jobs, our goals, do grocery shopping together, watch silly realitytv when we are bored. All those little things that make me miss the ones in Belgium even more. The ones who I am doing all of this with for already so many years. I think that's one of the things that makes me want to count down really bad now. You know, the daily stuff that you are sharing with friends and family.
Anyway, I am (mostly) still liking my job and the islandlife I have when I am off, so my last days will be filled with beaches, hikes, drinks and fun, as much as possible. 🏝
Seeing these guys in South Africa brought tears to my eyes. 🦏 I didn’t see any on safari in Kenya or Tanzania, so this was my first time. White rhinos are considered “near threatened”, and are the most common of the rhino family. There are around 20k left in the world. Poaching still occurs, although much less than in the past as conservation efforts have increased significantly. I kept thinking about how I might be showing these photos to my grandchildren one day, who might never be able to see these beautiful animals. Seriously, look at that little guy’s ears!!! 🧡🧡🧡
A fantastic couple of days in the north of Spain for Neil’s 40th (stag party) 9 bedroom converted farmhouse with stunning views across the Spanish countryside on in to Andorra
