It feels like I haven’t posted in days! Time just sort of stood still for our #slowlife
weekend. This past weekend was our 5th #canal
adventure. I brought a book, things to write with, my iPad...and I didn’t really do much with any of them. Apart from some insta stories, I pretty much spent the weekend just watching the countryside go by. Very slowly. If you’ve not been on the canal, the boats only go walking speed, so the pace of life automatically slows down. There isn’t much urgency to anything. For a brief moment I actually chastised myself for not taking the opportunity to catch up on my reading. How silly is that? I spent the weekend in a moving meditation! It’s a master reset. We were on the Leeds and Liverpool canal in North Yorkshire, where friendly locals stop to help you open heavy bridges, and let you visit with their dogs. I think the ratio of dogs to humans in Yorkshire is at least 2:1. I really believe the north is the most beautiful part of England, and southerners don’t know what they’re missing. Have you been? Our little adventure was, as usual, too short, but had so many healing properties. We talked about the sheep, the cows, the future, and moving back to this beautiful part of the country. It was a bit of shock to the system to arrive back in the other night, and I’m trying not to “people” too much this week. So the nutritional prescription I’m sharing for you today is: #goplayoutside
. There’s a world of natural goodness waiting for you. How slow can you make your week? .
