There has been some early morning rain, so the roadsides and hedgerows are scattered with people plucking snails from their grassy habitat. The Algarvian way is to boil them with pennyroyal mint. We’re thinking of ways to serve them at Chá Chá Chá and hope to have some on the menu next week...
