Found some fine bulgur in the cupboard (that I thought finished , happy surprise ☺️) settled to make my favourite Spicy bulgur wheat salad with pomegranate molasses, my hometown Antakya’s kısır ❤️🇹🇷 - I love this delicious, bountiful salad so much that it is at the cover of my cookery book , #ozlemsturkishtable
. It is our welcome salad at home and always appears at my mother’s table - and whenever I make it, I feel I am back home 💐
If you can’t find fine bulgur, you can make it with coarse bulgur too, which is available in all major supermarkets. If using coarse bulgur, double the amount of hot water and cook for 10 minutes .
If you like to make this salad gluten free, you can use quinoa instead of bulgur (bear in mind that quinoa requires longer cooking time, please refer to its package).
