HAPPY FRIDAY INSTA! Hope you all have a great start to the weekend 🎉 Started mine by killing my legs!🙃
Little life reflection recently — continue reading if you care... BUT ...I use to worry so much about what other people thought of me. I was embarrassed to be the girl obsessed with running, and fitness. I was afraid to admit to that fact that I’m someone who weights and tracks all their food, and counts their macros. I didn’t want to be judged or have people think my lifestyle was weird. So, I constantly played down everything I did in hopes to get acceptance. When I was doing these things just to “fit in” I stepped away from being myself. I lost touch of the things I love the most. These past few months I’ve been able to get back into everything I love and it’s been amazing. I’m at this point where I don’t care what other people think of me. You either accept my goals and my lifestyle or you don’t- but I’m not going to change what I’m doing in order to fit someone else’s life. Maybe I’m not the average 21 year old, and I’m not going to pretend that I am🤷🏼♀️. Learning that as long as your happy with yourself at the end of the day is all that really matters when it comes to the idea of “acceptance”✨ So thankful for the ones that accept and support my decisions and goals. Also thankful for this app that lets me connect with likeminded people. Don’t let the opinions of others determine who you are and what you want💛💛
I was one of the slowest runners in grammar school. In adulthood, I overcame my dislike towards running and now my race bling rack is almost filled up. I'm saving the last slot for the marathon. 🥇
I made this for my mom years ago when she was trying to live a healthier lifestyle. I filled it with inspirational quotes and random notes to her. When she passed away unexpectedly and I was grasping for material items of hers to feel closer to her, this was one of things I took home with me. It’s sat in a drawer for a long time, but I went through it this morning knowing I needed some major motivation for #marathontraining
. And now the ‘mom’ part has a whole new meaning 🙂 missing my mom as much as ever, but I’m glad this little jar brought me a smile and a warm heart this morning 😊 #twentysixpointtwo #motivation
Running at altitude is no joke. Early morning 4.5 mile run before we hit up some zip lines later today.
On a non running-related note, has this night already been more than a month ago?? You guys, I’m really excited about marrying my favorite person. ❤️❤️❤️
Come sip and sail with us on the Boston Harbor to support Team for Kids on September 8th! All proceeds of the event will support the Team for Kids NYC Marathon Team which is raising money so children across the country can have access to FREE fitness programs.
I am very excited to run the New York City Marathon in November for the New York Road Runners Team for Kids! Helping young people grow into healthy, confident athletes is a huge passion of mine and I'm really looking forward to raising funds to provide FREE youth programs, events and resources to over 267,000 children across the country. For most of the kids who participate, running with a NYRR program is their only opportunity to get exercise or play sports. And what I love most about these youth programs is how they empower children of all athletic abilities to get moving and teaches them about teamwork and perseverance.
During this 3 hour cruise you'll get to experience spectacular views of the Boston skyline (perfect for an insta pic) and we'll have music, games and chances to win great prizes including a $50 gift card to Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant!
Tickets are $50 and space is limited.
Please send ticket money to me via Venmo or PayPal.
*Drinks will be available at the cash bar*
Can't make the event? Please consider donating straight on my fundraising page. (LINK IN BIO👆🏼).

Yes, I’m smiling - not sure why😝Today’s run started out as a hot mess express and I’ve been on the struggle bus all week! I’ve been feeling run down since Monday, behind on sleep and throat scratchy/sore since Tues and now I’m getting a cough. Started taking over the counter meds yesterday and hopefully it will get better, not worse🙏🏼Being sick is the pits!! Had a fun track workout planned for today that I pre-loaded but I simply didn’t have the energy to push hard. Played it smart, went out for some easy miles with Sean and started to feel better after the first half. Still miles, still counts, still moving forward and staying strong👊🏻💕
Athlete spotlight on Sara right here in the sunshine state! She works for Universal Parks and Resorts and supporting their international parks from an IT perspective, currently supporting Osaka, Japan! She travels there once a month and loves the people, the culture, the nature and everything about it! Married to her running partner Chad for 10 years and Mom to Hannah, Jaiden & Brooklyn. They keep her busy as a chauffeur driving back and forth for lacrosse, drums, baseball, soccer, vocal lessons and horse back riding! Sara broke her back 18 months ago and it's been a long process of recovery. She ran the Disney marathon this year in January, 12 months after her injury and now she wants more! Sara used to "only run" but now has implemented weekly strength training and it's working big time. We have a half marathon in September and a full marathon in December and with her drive and consistency, we are going to SLAY both of them with huge PR's!!

When you nail a handstand 🙌🏻 (with a little wall assistance) for the first time in your 41 years on Earth 🌏! @bgoulee @grasso_24
Brit and Nick- time to sign up for that marathon! #goalgetters
It still makes me well up and get teary whenever I think about that day. 🤭 I loved the challenge of training for my first 26.2 and then the added challenge of that day’s horrible weather. 3 months ago already? 💙💛🦄. #bostonmarathon #ididit #yeahbitchachos #boston2018
Hard days are the best because THAT’S when champions train👊🏻Struggle was real today. Summer running really blows sometimes. 88 degrees (real feel 99)☀️Going on 4 hours of sleep, a little cranky, not feeling 100% health wise, day after going hard on legs, heat, humidity, blazing sun, dehydration, soaking wet (and alllll the excuses I can think of) and yet you just keep going. One foot in front of the other - get it done. Don’t stop. It’s a good thing I had easy miles on the schedule today because it’s truly all I had to give. 4 this morning before the girls woke up at a 9:26 pace and then 5 more mid-morning with my man at an 8:42 pace. That phrase turtle stampeding thru peanut butter? Yeah - that was me today but still put those miles in the bank! Chicago, I’m coming for you!
