If you don’t really read my captions, I’d really appreciate it if you read this one:
When it comes to social media, it’s very easy to think that someone lives a ‘perfect’ life because they have a ‘perfect’ feed or timeline when in reality that couldn’t be further than the tough. These content creators, musicians, models, influencers and online public figures all get down... in fact, that is the exact reason why I haven’t posted at all these past 2 weeks. I get so wrapped up in overthinking and self doubt that I lose sight in where I want to go and the passion I have. I feel as if I’m working towards nothing and I push my friends and family away from me. But it’s times like these that people don’t realise happen to anyone regardless of number of followers, how good their content is or how much they travel. Everyone is human and nobody can be happy 24/7 365 days a year. From someone who’s going through a rough patch: you’re great, keep at what you’re doing and set the world on fire. You have so much potential and you can achieve anything you dream of if you work for it. Stay strong and keep going. ————————————————————
These shots were from one of the days where I felt at my lowest. I held my head up high and walked 4 miles to the middle of nowhere to catch some incredible views. Not only was I not mentally great but I was really sick so ultimately by the end of the day, I was a mess but it was worth every second. Just wanna thank @willlamerton
for taking the shots of me and also putting up with my dying ass and moaning all the way back to the car😂————————————————————

If you don’t imagine, nothing ever happens at all. 💫
Seriously can’t wait to be back in the alps as soon as possible. No matter where I go, there is no place my heart longs for more. 💙
I took 30 photos yesterday of random things we saw. A small aircraft. A fence. Rain coming down in sheets. We didn’t catch the rainbow in time, and we didn’t see any magically lit horses or grain silos either. In the moment, I wasn’t stoked about anything I was shooting, but I still made an effort to look for compositions and capture the colors and movement of the land. When I crouched down and pointed my 70-200mm in between a section of rusted fence line, my internal dialogue was, “Eh, its not amazing, but it’s worth a shot.” When editing in Lightroom later, I was glad I took the time to capture this. It’s not a tornado or a supercell, which is what I came here to photograph, but I love this image just as much as I enjoyed watching the vegetation flow with the wind. If you want to grow as an artist and create things outside of the trendy, safe zone that set you apart from others, you need to get out and shoot even if it’s NOT the picture you were hoping for. Challenge yourself both when you have a camera in your hand...AND when you’re deciding what to post here. Likes and follows are great if you’re keen on turning your page into an online billboard, but if you really want people to respect your work, I encourage you to take risks and try new things, even if it frustrates you and you can’t master it right away. I have never successfully shot lightning, and I’m hoping to get it right on this trip. Still, I’m aware of the possibility that I might not succeed, and that this is all part of the learning curve. And that’s ok. There is still plenty of other awesome stuff to see in the world, and learning is growing. And growth is good. Time to hit the road and see what sort of wild weather we find today...
Captured this back from my short trip to New York City. The reason why I'm in love with capturing photos and videos is not because of all the money that can be made or not how cool you look with a camera or any other short term meaningless bullshit, I love it because we are enabled to capture moment(s) in time and play it on repeat as time doesn't stop for anyone for anything. We are enable to alter that captured moment for it to feel or look a certain way. We can technically change the timeline of the moments we capture by changing the position of what goes first. In a way photography and videography is the closest mankind has come to time travel.
