Utah or New Zealand?? These views were unreal!! 💙💚💙
Behind the Scenes:: I took this picture while sitting on the side of the trail, taking deep breathes, trying desperately to calm myself down when I was only 50 feet from the summit. It wasn't the height that freaked me out, just my brain.
As much as nature is my therapy, it can also be a trigger for anxiety and panic. Being in solitude is incredibly tranquil but also terrifying if things go wrong.
My brain will go through a laundry lists of "what if's?" and my body will begin to turn on itself by cramping, headaches, and an inability to take in food or water. Which generally just makes the whole situation worse.
Sometimes I can just keep moving and that's enough to keep it all at bay but other times you'll find me limp noodle on the side of a trail.
Comment below or send me a DM if you struggle with the same thing.
