Always great to see progress in the refinement of your craft. I have a font comparison here of a project done recently and a project from 9 months ago. I have been working for years to perfect the “Times New Roman” style font. Burning text is a painstaking process which is worth every extra second of drawing guide lines, going slow and double checking that everything is the same thickness. And practice. Lots and lots of practice!

So I’ve had quite a few local opinions on the matter and I’m curious to know what the online community thinks since I love building and finishing my own frames. When framing a wood burning piece, do you prefer a darker, neutral color or something a little more bright?

When the day is over and your nose is filled with sawdust and sap plagues the surface of your palms, it has been a good day.

I love all the cool features Instagram has to offer! To my lovely crafting friends - do you know about the story highlights you can display below your profile bio!? So cool and a fun way to showcase your best work. And don’t forget about the fonts! Just google “Fonts for Instagram” and you’ll get a few possibilities you can copy and paste! Just an #untillions #tipoftheday

Happy Tuesday! I decided to save all my original sketches over the last few months and compile them in this lovely binder. That way I can show them off or retrace them on future projects! Check it out in my story!

and the first of February. I’m celebrating with one of my very first projects completed almost 3 years ago, because every dog and his brother need a toy box. It’s always nice to see the progress you’ve made as an artist. There is a definite difference in the line work here and what I do now.
Getting in my last evening of personal project sketches before my new orders consume my free time! Anybody here a wolf or Wyoming fan?
Finally complete! This intricate 12 square foot #worldmap
took over 90 hours of designing and #woodburning
. A lot of late nights this week enabled me to finish the borders with more #celticart #knotwork
and shading. This piece feels a lot like a capstone project. I’m very pleased overall and can’t wait until I design my next one!

It’s all in the details! Been working non-stop (just passed the 80 hour mark) after work this week trying to finish this piece up and can’t stop myself from adding more little details to this beautiful map. By my next post, I should have a finished picture for y’all 😉 just bits and pieces now; swipe for more!
I have admired the geometric animals from the beginning and have tried many times to draw one not able to get it right. After many redraws, this cool cat came about. Drawn from scratch just looking at a picture of an actual lion, this is my submission for #burntjanuary
day 23: Geometric. Thanks @woodburncorner
for suggesting this day and inspiring this creation!
Putting in some work on this #celtic #knotwork
border today. I have a hard time finishing big projects sometimes because I’m always jumping to the newest idea that pops into my head. This giant 4’ x 3’ world map is next on my list to finish before I explore other personal projects. Swipe for another time lapse and a finished border.
