Zion is by far my favorite national park. Other than the Smokies, I’ve visited here more than any other- each time overwhelmingly captivated by the grandeur, beauty, and solidarity of the lofty cliffs and serene valleys . . . . . #zion #zionnationalpark #utah #springdaleutah #mightyfive #virginriver #thewatchman #findyourpark #nationalparks #thesouthwest #americansouthwest #landscapephotography #digitalphotography #canon #canonphotography #wanderlust #wanderer #neverstopexploring #roadtrip #americanroadtrip #usnationalparks
For all the #outdoorenthusiasts . Not sure if I should be happy or mad. I applaud taking a stand, but feel sad for all of the #nationalpark #serviceworkers who look to the #usnationalparkadvisoryboard for #guidance and #leadership . Three-quarters of the seats on the U.S. National Park Service advisory board are vacant following a mass resignation Monday night, citing Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's unwillingness to meet with them. As explained in the resignation letter, the board had repeatedly tried and failed to secure a meeting with the new interior secretary. "[Our] requests to engage have been ignored and the matters on which we wanted to brief the new Department team are clearly not part of the agenda," the letter reads. #notmypresident #notmyadministration #disappointed #sadstatewearein #whydoesithavetocometothis #usnationalparks #keepourlandswild #keepourlandsgrand #keepourlandspublic #nationalparks #getoutdoors #getoutside

Hi Friend! Let's get to know each other a bit, shall we? Tell me something fun about yourself below, and I'll do the same! . My husband and I met in Yellowstone National Park, while working for a summer ministry organization during college. When summer ended, I went back to MN to finish up my undergrad, and he headed back to FL to do the same. 2 years later, we traveled back to Yellowstone, and got married in the ampitheater where we used to hold Sunday services for park guests & employees. The national parks are such an integral part of our story, and we absolutely love them!
Toroweap by @peterlik Toroweap Overlook also known as Tuweep Overlook is a viewpoint within the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, United States. It is located in a remote area on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, 55 miles west of the North Rim Headquarters. The overlook is the only viewpoint in the National Park from where the Colorado River can be seen vertically below.  The overlook stands 3,000 feet above the river. Toroweap, a Paiute term meaning "dry or barren valley", strictly refers to the valley and the overlook." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toroweap_Overlook #grandcanyonnationalpark #grandcanyon #nationalparkgeek #usnationalparks #nakedplanet #natgeolandscape #earthpics #naturephotography #earthart #canyons #coloradoriver #awesomephotographers #awesomeshot #arizonasky #arizonalife #beautifulsky #sky_perfection #skyshots #igcolor #sunsetsky #geologyrocks #getoutdoors #color_of_day #amazingcolors #goparks #perfect_landscapes

A lot of people are debating if Arches National Park should switch to a reservation system for visitors to decrease the large crowds in the park. I'm not sure how I feel about it, as I see pros and cons to keeping it the way it is, and switching to the reservation system. What are your thoughts? I have to say, this park is awesome, I think so because of the insane views such as this, with the red rock formations and the Snow Capped Rocky Mountains in the distance. #travelutah #utah #utahadventures #utahtravels #hikeutah #highofflife #nationalpark #nationalparkgeek #usnationalparks #nationalparkservice #arches #archesnationalpark #findyourpark #seeamerica #opinion #opinions #givemeyouropinion #rockymountainhigh #rockymountains #travelbliss

Who loves road trips? Southwest Texas is a rather pretty place to do one, with miles and miles of wide open road. New post on the blog now about our road trip through Southwest Texas, link in bio ⬆️
If you could pick only one National Park to visit, which would it be and why? Mine is Yosemite so I can hike the trails and see one of the tallest waterfalls in the United States in person. . . I recently came across this amazing travel couple @reneeroaming & @matthewhahnel who have traveled all 59 US National Parks for @drinkevolve photographing their journey and I am so inspired to start adventuring sooner than I originally anticipated. Check out our new blog post at https://jessicawilkeson.com/2018/01/15/59-us-national-parks/ Or visit link in bio. . . We make amazing National Parks Maps to help you track your adventures! Check them out on the website, which also provides a handy list of all 59 National Parks in Alphabetical order. =)
This quaint little waterfall in Yosemite national park is called the Bridal veil falls because it looks like the white veil of a bride spread over the rocks. . . . #yosemite #yosemitenationalpark #yosemitevillage #bridalveilfalls #waterfall #waterfalls #misty #waterfalls_of_the_world_ #world_photo #discoverearth #photo_hub__ #canonphotography #nationalparks #usnationalparks #californianature
The timeless Yosemite. The crown jewel of the US National Parks system and where climbers, hikers and photographers flock. You've gotta see it for yourself.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. One of my goals in this precious life is to make a hell of a lemonade! 🍋 . . One of the perks of having a child with a disability is a FREE lifetime Access Pass to all of the National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands. Because of this, we have decided to “make lemonade” and begin our adventure of visiting as many National Parks as we can as a family with #littlelindiefern as our guide . . With that in mind, we need your suggestions! We want to travel to our first National Park as a family this spring, probably April. We want something that’s drive-able, warm (enough) and family (especially baby) friendly. Give us your best suggestions! . . P.S. if you have a child with a disability and are interested in getting your own all access pass for them (ahem, for your family 😉), you can easily get yours at nps.gov. We applied for ours less than two weeks ago and got it in the mail today! 🙌🏼 #nationalparks #nationalparkservice #disability . . . . #lifeisbetterwithyou #lifewithDs #downsyndromelove #t21 #nothingdownaboutit #upsyndrome #morealikethandifferent #theluckyfew #specialneeds #helmethairdontcare #changingthefaceofbeauty #dontscreenusout #babiesofinstagram #savedownsyndrome #momblogger #honestmotherhood #motherhoodrising #joyfulmamas #getaftergratefulness #travelusa #exploreusa #usnationalparks

Feather Falls was rolling! To put the size of this fall into perspective, there are people sitting at the top of this fall that can only be seen as dots when zoomed in ▫ #wedoitfortheview #getoutside #gladtobehere #usnationalparks #featherfallstrail #featherfalls
Mighty Mt. Rainier National Park!
As far as my experience goes Glacier Park holds some of the most exquisite natural scenery to be found in this country. In fact, before going to Scotland last summer, it was the most beautiful place I had ever been. There is no shortage of waterfalls and cascades to be found here. In fact, this first one was right on the side of the road, flowing underneath us and down into the glen below. - #glaciernationalpark #glacier #glacierpark #glacierparkmontana #goingtothesunroad #waterfalls #cascades #forests #green #mountains #outdoors #nature #beauty #scenery #naturalbeauty #naturalscenery #country #countryside #rural #backcountry #hiking (or #sauntering , as #JohnMuir would have it) #montana #montanaoutdoors #nationalparks #usnationalparks #usnps #bigskystate #unitedstates 🇺🇸
While going through storage boxes in my closet, I found a couple of old flash drives and figured it might be a good idea to see what was on them. Well, it turns out, one of them contained a trove of pictures from a road trip to Glacier National Park in Montana that I took with my grandmother back in July of 2016. - #glaciernationalpark #glacier #glacierpark #nationalpark #nationalparks #usnationalparks #usnps #naturalscenery #naturalbeauty #mountains #forests #rivers #lakes #cascades #waterfalls #evergreens #goingtothesunroad #stmaryglacier #twomedicine #outdoors #nature #country #countryside #rural #backcountry #montana #montanaoutdoors #bigskystate #unitedstates #iphone5c 🇺🇸
