A State wide storm kept us close to home yesterday but you know we couldn't resist getting jiggy! Cut first tracks to some questionable ice but once we got past the soft edges it was on! Had to get my homie from Cali out on ice one more time before he headed home. Ended up coming out heavy with fish tacos on our minds 🤙

#fishkissfriday Just wanted to say thanx to everyone out there hitting like, watching the stories, and leaving positive feedback! Appreciate it! Thankful for Insta giving me a reason to better document my adventures. Didn't have any social media for ten years and never thought I would again. I'm just out here doing my thing and the fact that people from around the globe tune in blows my mind! Hope I don't disappoint 😃👊🤘🎣🐷😎🔥💘🤙
Decided to search for fresh ice yesterday. Found it but it was a little too fresh. After a nice drive and plenty of spots marked as unsafe ice I turned up at an urban creek I knew held some large mouth. Rigged up the slip bobber. Caught a couple baby bass, a bluegill, and some sunfish. But after spotting some "freshwater bonefish" lurking in the shollows I switched the micro jigs to a hairrig and got into a nice tug of war with this muscular beauty and an absolute pig that I ended up breaking off while trying to land. Heartbreaking end but a great day out with 4 more species crossed of the list for 2018!
Here she is moments before disaster... this spot is usually good for a double digit fish but it's only about 3 feet deep and I haven't ever caught a fish over 16 lbs there. Until almost today. Hard to say how big she was all I know is she was the biggest in a couple years (any species)💔💔💔

Disheartened to say the least... Fishing is fishing and things are rarely prefect but when the only thing thing to blame is yourself, you gotta blame yourself. After catching a handfull of small bass and panfish today I switched tactics and targeted some thick carp that were taunting me. The bite was slow and I was covering a lot of water, had to keep reminding myself to bring the net... Well things lined up and here I am with a 20+ lb goldfish on the line and my net about 200 yards down the bank. Let her run 3 times trying to wear her out. And now that I see the footage I tried to land this fish for over a minute. All day I had been thinking about posting about how you can catch big fish on any weight line as long as the technique is on Point... when you're talking about 20 lb carp on 8 lb test, technique includes a net. Stay on your toes! 🤙
#fbf When your beautiful wife just wants to go swimming but all of your favorite swimming spots turn out to be muddy catfish holes, you come out with some amazing candid shots 😃 Thanx and sorry bae 💘 Love you so much!
While we were on the prowl for perch the other day my homie @jimmysjiggin threw out the idea to keep track of every fish we catch this year so... Swipe to see the log 😅 with a couple of out of state trips planned and the plan to put some big fish on deck whenever possible this year, I couldn't resist. When you're in the heat off the moment it's hard to keep track sometimes(hopefully cuz you're catching a grip of fish) but I'm going to try to record the date, location, species, how many released, how many kept for the table, biggest, and total number of fish for the day. Let's get it! 🍻🍻🍻
Rough day on the ice this weekend but we hit it hard! One of the lightest bites I've ever seen, tons of fishing pressure, and a mean snow storm added up to a long day. But we gave it hell and after getting dialed in we put the first fish of 2018 on deck! Slowest day I've had in a long time but you don't know if you don't go and "You miss 100%of shots you don't take" so get out there and get some 🤙
So, I was going through my pictures from the past year on search of my top fish of 2017, but I couldn't chose a single fish as the top fish of the year. But I could chose a favorite species, walleye. There's something about the sheer aggression, power and toothy mug that I've fallen in love with! I love this picture too, it was one of the last eyes I got this year.
Tomorrow at 12pm MST the video explaining all of the social media changes will go up and on New Years Day at a time TBD a video behind this fish will be uploaded! 2018 is going to be unreal!#featuredfromutah#utahsbigfish#ubf
Dropped the hammer on some white bass the other day so after catching and releasing 30 fish I decided to selectively harvest 2 to help this homie out 😎 pretty rare to see a mink in the middle day so after I spotted this guy sneaking around collecting filleted fish I figured I could hook him up with a fresh catch 🤙

This time of year I'm always on the hunt for fresh ice. Glad we found some close to home. This is the bay where the Jordan river flows out of the massive Utah Lake. At 151 square miles it's number 36 on the list of the largest bodies of water in America. For the die hard it's a warm water blessing and in my opinion the embodiment of the place we call home, Utah valley. It's beautifully picturesque from a far but grimey, vast, and complex up close. I'm grateful to call it my back yard.
Not trying to be a carp angler, just happen to be good at angling carp 😎 Not a lot of options this time year to get fishy without dedicating a whole day to getting out there, pretty grateful to have a local honey hole that's always good for a fish in the double digits 🤙everyone has their own opinion of carp but what I love most about catching these beasts (Besides the fight) is that there's homies doing it all over the world, literally. Carp are the most widespread fish in the world inhabiting all regions except the poles. They've been with us since the Roman era and have been spread by us around the globe as a sport fish and the most farmed fish in aquaculture. Love them are hate them they're here to stay. And with those long fins, that scalation, and shoulders that pull I'm happy to have them.
#fbf Way back to 2014 the first time I dragged bae out onto the ice 😙We're starting to get some ice on the high altitude lakes but we still have a couple more weeks until any big water will be safe. Obviously it's fishing and you can get as die hard as you want but I love the fact that you can buy a $20 setup, $30 worth of gear, and find some buddies to throw in on a hand auger and a whole new world of fishing can open up to people 💘 I'm ready!
Got em! Finally had a couple minutes to hit the spot and look at me now! 😎 she's pushing 15lbs 💘 felt good to get the pull on, thanx for the tug 🤙great scalation and this healthy fish, hope to see her again soon! #thetugisthedrug
For some reason I've had carp on the brain 🎣🎣🎣 when I came across this throwback of me and the homie @dragoneyez420 crushing it on @maryj_borboleta 's bday a couple years back I had to post it 🤙not a monster but this was a day where we all had to put one rod back in the truck and eventually ended up taking turns with 4 people on one pole because the bite was constant once we had the pattern down 😎 Yuba might not be the lake of big eyes it was when we were kids but it's still good for a great day on the beach and some tight lines 💘
