Lofoten has been a rising sun in the traveling business as a vacation target. Last summer guys of windowtothenorth had the honor to visit these magical mountains. In the following posts you get to tag along as we go through our trip through these mountain rages.
First pin of our trip was in the early beginning of the mountains. Mountain called Fløya rises right next to a village of Svolvaer. It offers an amazing day trip opportunity. Incredible views and good trekking routes won't leave you asking why bother. As the route goes on you have a great opportunity to stand on top of a rock that is stuck between two cliffs it is so called Djevelporten. The rock dares you to climb on top of it to risk your destiny but as you glance over the other side, it leaves you speechless with a view so beautiful and daring you need to take a deep breath just to take it all in.
For the #nofilter
series another arctic night shot. Beautiful lights in the ski when the sun never rises but barely casts its light above the horizon.
Second day of the Arctic Winter Trek. We followed the reindeer fence to the south, on slightly flatter ground than the ground where the yellow cord in the picture passes, then curved north following the river, crossed it midway and then a bit of north-eastward backcountry skiing through the hills to Snellmanninmaja.

When you find a nice reindeer horns at the beginning of the hike, you are willing to carry them until the end no matter how much they weight.
Sunny saturday on the coast
❄️ 😎 🌞
Starry night in the woods.
Moon, snow, cold and lavvu with burner. Pretty good way to spend weekend.
