Currently listening to the Spooked podcast while editing (in broad daylight, mind you) and have the biggest goosebumps and can’t stop checking behind me. I am not cut out for this! Nope nope nope...but this show is so addicting. I learned about it around Halloween last year while traveling alone on my big road trip. I binged the entire first season within a few days while driving (I’ve never listened to it at night...). On my van trip, I slept in empty fields, deserted backroads, or wherever I could get away from humanity most nights. Utterly alone and happy to be so. After binge listening to this podcast, I spent a couple of nights in civilization. I may be a wussy but it’s effing scary! Fast forward a year later and I’m questioning living in my tiny house in the woods as I’m binging on season 2. LISTEN! I dare you! 😳 thanks @togsblog
for freaking me out 2 years in a row...gah!!! .

Not a bad place to spend the night.
Valley of the Gods is a scenic sandstone valley near Mexican Hat in San Juan County, southeastern Utah. It is north of Monument Valley across the San Juan River and has similar rock formations to Monument Valley with tall, reddish brown mesas, buttes, towersand mushroom rocks —remnants of an ancient landscape—standing above the level valley floor.

I went with an image of some rock formations out west. I decided a high contrast was going to work better on a dark base. It didn’t come out 100%, but it’s a good first run. I’m excited to try more soon! Swipe to see it sparkle and a time lapse of how I put this piece together. #❤️🎨🌌 #timelapse #valleyofthegods #west #desert
Day 5 of the Lonesome Trail Road Trip started with a rainy ride to the Four Corners Monument and then finished up with a “monumental” trip through Monument Valley and a drive on a literal lonesome trail through the Valley of the Gods, both in Southeastern Utah. The landscape was vast and beautiful. America is a pretty amazing place, you guys. OK, tomorrow the Lonesome Trail heads to the mountains so get ready for that! Today’s song of the day was “Wheels” by the Flying Burrito Brothers. I sang along at the top of my lungs while driving through Northern Arizona (for real) so go check it out. #lonesometrail #roadtrip #openroad #highway #monumentvalley #valleyofthegods #utah
Storm clouds rolling through the Valley of the Gods, UT. A magnificent landscape, all to ourselves.
